According to them, Nikko is well known for its beautiful autumn colors, and just about 2 hours by train from Tokyo. I was busy with work so I didn't really take note on what to see and do in Nikko, I just googled on how to get there. I thought day trip is enough to cover the city. Access: 20-30 minutes on foot or 5 minutes by bus (stop at Shinkyo bus stop) from JR/Tobu Nikko Station.

Zabihah website listed a few restaurants in Vientiane so my partner and I chose to walk to the nearest one to our hostel. We had our lunch at Fathima Restaurant on Fa Ngum Road. August 7, 2015. Laos: Exploring Luang Prabang. I could've taken an overnight bus to Luang Prabang to save time and accommodation cost but I chose not to. Bumpy, small road winding through hilly area at night? Hmmm sounds rather scary to me. I chose to ride a minivan at 9 am the next day. Here's the timetable and ticket price for your reference. Ready to leave for Luang Prabang. The view throughout the journey. We stopped for a while at one of the roadside stalls to grab some snacks and toilet break.
