You'll find no pretty ribbons here. That's me on the left with the visor and marathon medal hanging around my neck. Marathon as in full. Marathon. 26.2. Yes, I've become that. Cancer survivor. But then I'm hard pressed to think of a better way to celebrate [now more than] five years being NCED (no current evidence of disease, the closest my onc will get to giving me a clean bill of health). After several months of talks, tests, and the requisite ramp-up hormones, my ovaries refused to play ball. My fertility doctor was even baffled by the fact that I am (was? Still having my monthlies. You'll find no pretty ribbons here. Thanks to therapy, I have identified and am working through not one, not two, but at least THREE separate identity crises. I always have been something of a misdirected overachiever. I think I know what I want to be when I grown up, but I have to make a concerted effort to get off my ass to do something about it. It seems as though my various side-effects are easing somewhat, just in time for cooler temps. Keep hope alive. Idea where she came from. Our Walk of Life.

Saturday, May 24, 2008. The third time is a charm. Or shall i say an infestation? So in the past week we have found not 1, not 2, BUT 3 (! Spiders in our house. And when i say spiders - i don't mean your friendly daddy long leg types. these are serious spiders. sadly, i have become quite the expert at hunting and destroying them (but i'd. Rather not find them in the first place). Friday, May 23, 2008. A memorable memorial day weekend? Wishing you all a great long weekend! Monday, May 19, 2008. Be a littl...

Wednesday, July 16, 2008. It's sew time again? Wow - that was fast - another season. Starting up. but i'm not complaining. Ps - i'm digging the earlier time slot! OY I hate like 99% of the new people! The douche quotient doubled this season! When reality contestants have more "personality" than substance, I can't help but think that they were cast for ratings, not, you know, SKILL. Also, Tim gun saying "Holla at yer boy" = PR jumping the shark. BOO! July 18, 2008 at 2:15 PM. Maybe you need a poll? A few ...

My Cancer Cured
Lase Med Inc and Dr. Carpenter used her proprietary laser therapy to cure my cancer. Wednesday, February 29, 2012. Saturday, February 25, 2012. Dr Carpenter cured my cancer @ Lase Med Inc. I was grateful to have my cancer diagnosed without an invasive biopsy, as I believe that any form of invasive treatment has the potential to spread the disease. I was also pleased to not be castrated, radiated, or have my body filled with caustic chemicals. My immune system sensed the treatments and began to react to t...

August has barely ended, and I’ve already come down with my first cold of the season.
