Events in this blog occured during the third week of October). Last weekend Alex and I were sent on a field visit with our NGO. First, we traveled to Udaipur for a regional girl’s empowerment workshop. Twice a year Vikalp convenes the district level training workshops at the regional level. An Indianapolis native, I moved to North Carolina at age 19 with my family where I attended Western Carolina University in the heart of Appalachia. I majored in Communication and was an active member of my college newspaper, radio and television station. After graduation I took a job in Charlotte, North Carolina.
