I know it has been a long time since the last time I wrote something on here . I have had a hard getting in here. This is about it for now . Will be back soon.

Today while looking through the photos I came across a really cute one of Penny and don't think I have shown it before. Hope I can find it now. Loving your Celtic Sols...

Musings of a creative quilter. Wednesday, January 30, 2013. Building my Best Log Cabin. It was probably the 5th grade when I last wrote a book report. And, all I can think of is that, "It was good." Musings of a creative quilter. Saturday, July 7, 2012. I just finished the July quilt. They're not perfect and mostly they're made from scraps but they make my ugly brown door come alive. Every morning I take my dog out for her morning constitutional. While she's nosing around under the shade trees for the perfect spot, I am just enjoying my "door quilt.". Links to this post. Cathy's Creative Quiltin': Wedding Dress
http://cathyscreativequiltin.blogspot.com/2008/04/wedding-dress.html
Sunday, April 27, 2008. Here is a picture of the velvet wedding dress that has consumed me for the last few weeks. Let me explain that. The Bride, as you can see, is no small child. She also could not find a pattern she liked. Can you see where this is going? I ended up using parts of 4 patterns! The blue sash I made was not dark blue enough for her, so had to get more fabric and remake it. All was well till she decided to change the undergarments. Was the ring bearer, and I made his cummerbund. Added to...

I've pretty much finished the fall/Halloween decorating, but along the way, I did a little crafting too, and I thought I'd share my ideas and efforts with you- these really are super simple to make, so I hope they will spark a little creative interest in you too. Remember I told you about my sister-in-law's decorated pumpkins? I also made one for my other sister-in-law . . . If you'd ...

I am an avid quilter somewhere in between art quilts and traditional quilts. Maybe I'm contemporary. I love the old blocks but love to make them with batiks or hand dyeds. My job is longarm quilting and I even love doing that. My second passion is my family ask me about them and I could talk (brag) for hours. My relaxation is reading, hiking in summer and cross country skiing in the winter. Monday, February 16, 2009. Links to this post. Sunday, February 8, 2009. Links to this post. Creativity is the courage to express your heart and mind exactly as they are. Sunday, February 24, 2008. What Our Kids Know. Well, last time I commented that I couldn't post any pictures because I couldn't find the cord to my camera. Lo and behold leave it up to my 10 year old to inform me that my computer has a port to put my camera card in.I don't even *need* to have a cord! Thank goodness for technology-savvy little boys. And it was fast.I had the top put together in a day. I'll post more pictures as ...

I'm moving into an apartment where I don't have to worry about a yard, or repairs or? If it breaks just pick up the phone and call the apartment office and let them fix it. STAY ...

My Quilting Quarters......
This blog is going to take a while to get up and running, but my plan is to make an online "scrapbook" of all of my craft projects. I will be including projects other than quilts, so this won't be a quilting ONLY site, but I also had considered (time permitting- of course) sharing some of the tips and tools that I'm learning along my quilting journey. Thursday, June 30, 2011. First Machine Quilting Project! June 2011 - Ok, so it's not that great. well maybe horrible is a better description. This ...Ten t...

Tuesday, July 30, 2013. After a short healing period, I started chemotherapy and completed 6 cycles. So now I'm at the Cleveland Clinic preparing for a stem cell transplant. I've gone through the pre-transplant processes, and tomorrow they will begin 'harvesting' my stem cells. If you're still reading this far, I would most assuredly appreciate your prayers. I'm doing my best to get through this. Wednesday, November 21, 2012. I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving! Saturday, July 28, 2012. This pas...

Project Photos and More. 5/30/2013 Lyle- This is Lyle practicing walking with the mirror to help him keep his leg straight. He's actually walking with a walker. I didn't get the good video of him this afternoon walking. I didn't push the record button hard enough so what I thought I got ended up being nothing. Will try again tomorrow for a good walking video. 5/30/2013 Lyle learning the proper standing position. Video 2 of 3. New pictures added 3/29/2013. Check out Quilt Photos. For the finished quilting.
