Walking My Path with Parkinson's. Sharing my life and times dealing with Parkinson's Disease and everything else. Tuesday, July 29, 2014. We just got back from vacationing in the beautiful Poconos mountains in Pennsylvania. Had a grand time, but fell 6 times: 4 times playing badminton, once while trying a "better" way to get into the lake and swim, and once because of a gust of gravity. Guess I'm just not as athletic as I used to be, huh? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). There was an error in this gadget.

http://marian-pathwalk.blogspot.com/2013_09_01_archive.html
Walking My Path with Parkinson's. Sharing my life and times dealing with Parkinson's Disease and everything else. Monday, September 23, 2013. It's all in your.neck. Not everything is Parkinson's. None of this sounds good to me, especially disc narrowing, which often has to be treated with surgery. Saturday, September 7, 2013. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). A loving and suppor...

Walking My Path with Parkinson's. Sharing my life and times dealing with Parkinson's Disease and everything else. Saturday, July 20, 2013. I'm feeling hopeful again. The physical therapy for my arm, neck and shoulders has been very helpful; in fact I "graduated" from PT this week. Most helpful though, I think, has been Dr. Wasserstein's direction in taking medications. He has me on a schedule, taking 3 Amantadine capsules a day, and now I feel great! Practice what you are going to say to the doctor befor...

Walking My Path with Parkinson's. Sharing my life and times dealing with Parkinson's Disease and everything else. Pay attention to ride restrictions; when in doubt ask a Cast Member. Don't rush, even if others do. There's plenty of time, and people can just go around you. Take breaks. One of our favorite places for this is the Cove Bar in Disney's California Adventure. If you like gin, try the Scottish Raspberry Lemon Drop. Best drink ever! The Pacific Wharf area near the California Screamin' roller coas...

Walking My Path with Parkinson's. Sharing my life and times dealing with Parkinson's Disease and everything else. Useful Gadgets and Coping Mechanisms. A collapsible cane is SOOOO nice to have. I used it at Disneyland, and just folded it up when I got on the rides. It opens up again with just a flick of the wrist. One thing: make sure that the cane can be adjusted to the appropriate height for you. Since I'm 5'3", not all canes work for me. I always label the tops of my medication bottles so that I know ...
