illustrations & adventures of KW: Cyanotypes!
http://lovelywrens.blogspot.com/2014/04/cyanotypes.html
Thursday, 17 April 2014. Are an amazing process discovered in 1842. I have some very generous photographer friends who have been hosting an alternative photography group where my boyfriend and I have been learning some fantastic new things. It's pretty amazing what you can do! You can also purchase "sunprint" paper which is ready to use, and all you have to do is rinse and dry after exposing. These were made with chemicals coating coldpress watercolour paper and a UV light (since it was a rainy day).

illustrations & adventures of KW: September 2012

Saturday, 29 September 2012. Rack Card (Front, Back) done for this special exhibit at Pry House. While you can discover Gardner's Antietam photographs at the Pry House, I have remembered/discovered that some variety in my graphic-design life is fun! My office job is a whole different sort of design – it's the toys, sci-fi, comicbooks kind of work. Not saying that isn't fun–but if you do it all the time it loses a bit of its awesome factor. Tuesday, 18 September 2012. Tintype made at the Pry House. It's g...

Wednesday, 25 April 2012. The green part of gardens. I have some art biding its time on my computer, but have been looking at it with a critical eye (so that means your eye may never see it! I do acknowledge there has been little art from me posted here though, and I aim to remedy this. Monday, 16 April 2012. Inspiration from the weekend. I really like 'mysterious things' in jars. 18th century medicine. Things in jars. The jars themselves. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.

illustrations & adventures of KW: July 2012
http://lovelywrens.blogspot.com/2012_07_01_archive.html
Monday, 30 July 2012. Lately have been spending about half my time away from my home! But no complaints. These photos are from last week's weekend – no photos this weekend as I spent it being lazy with my boyfriend who broke his wrist about a week ago. Paper I bought, and paper I punched! I haven't decided quite what to do with the new paper, I bought it because I love the patterns and colours. Ideas? One of mine was to use it for some cards or something but the print is a bit large. illustrations & adventures of KW: January 2013
http://lovelywrens.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html
Saturday, 19 January 2013. Is there a way for me to keep up with friends posts on my phone? I haven't found out how yet.). However, I have been on more adventures and spent a lot of time with an amazing person. So this kind of busy is not bad. Now I will attempt to post some photos and hope it will look alright on computers. I had intentions of posting some things I drew while on vacation in November but have not found the time. Look for that another day. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Thursday, 9 February 2012. The Brandywine River Museum (Adventure). The Brandywine River Museum. Is someplace that I was vaguely aware of for many years but never got around to visiting. Finally this weekend, in a last-minute sort of way, I ended up there. And I obviously did not know what I was missing out on by taking so long to visit! The museum. Three generations of Wyeth art, American Illustration and a current exhibit called Comic Catharsis: A Gift of Cartoons by William Steig. If you ever visit so...

illustrations & adventures of KW: Watercolours at the Pry Barn
http://lovelywrens.blogspot.com/2013/08/watercolours-at-pry-barn.html
Monday, 19 August 2013. Watercolours at the Pry Barn. A night at the Banjo Conference at Pry Barn, Antietam area Maryland. It would seem I fell out of habit with any sort of bloggy things! But I think I will try to get back into posting things each month, as it was quite fun when I did that (and perhaps motivating to edit photos or do something artistic). View from outside of barn. illustrations & adventures of KW: June 2014
http://lovelywrens.blogspot.com/2014_06_01_archive.html
Tuesday, 10 June 2014. Fern from Skyline Drive. This month I traveled through Skyline Drive in Virginia. It was a marvelous place to visit and late May/early June presented good weather for such an adventure. My life might be more adventure than illustration these days but I am really enjoying the outdoors more than ever. Less and less it seems like a blog doesn't make much sense because of Facebook and Instagram. But maybe I will continue posting here occasionally when I can. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Wednesday, 24 April 2013. Does this look like spring to you? That spring is finally, really here! To the right there is what it looked like almost exactly a month ago! Anyway, it has finally become seasonable. Which means finally being able to go outside even more, and see all the flowers. It is Garden of Antietam. If you feel so inclined to read it. Wednesday, 3 April 2013. Five months ago I went on vacation with my beau down to southern Maryland. An old house we came upon while taking a little hike.
