A huge thank you to the parents association for organising the food - the barbeque was a big hit. Newcastle NS, Athenry. Thursday, 24 October 2013. Hurling Final October 24th 2013. We had a very exciting final here in Newcastle pitch today. The standard of hurling played was fantastic. Well done to both teams. A sincere thank you to Mr Neylon and Mr O' Connor for training us on Monday evenings after school. Team 2 won the match. Thank you to Mr O'Connor for being a great referee. Ms Murphy encouraging the children to continue with training. Mr O' Connor spoke of the importance of trying your best.
