Art by Nicole Corrado. June 10, 2011. June is Adopt a Shelter Cat Month. Toronto Cat Rescue and Kool Kat Rescue are GTA charities that foster cats for adoption. Both the Toronto Humane Society and the OSPCA have reopened after renovations. Durham Humane Society has also reopened in a brand new building, after a devastating fire a few years back. Another Durham shelter is the no-kill Second Chance Wildlife Sanctuary, which specializes in cats. Welcome to Art by Nicole Corrado!

Farley Mowat changed the world’s perspective on wolves with his groundbreaking memior. His unconventional research method of living (and eating) like a wolf while observing an Arctic wolf pack gave Farley Mowat a unique perspective. Ootek, an Inuit man who befriended Farley Mowat, introduced him to a culture that respects and reveres wolves.

You can’t function without Executive Function. It’s the processing power that enables you to do what you need to do, think what you need to think about and get stuff done. Your inner motivator if you will. And the dog itself. Then you need to remember your keys, to lock the door behind you and plan your route, making sure the dog gets enough exercise, but also that you’re back in time for dinner. Oh, and don’t forget to take your phone. What’s the weather like? Where are my shoes? Where are the poo bags?
