The NMSAS Recovery Center accepts Medicaid, Healthy Michigan Plan and major private insurance plans for physician and counseling services as well as self-pay. Financial assistance is available through state and federal funds managed by the Northern Michigan Regional Entity to individuals meeting financial eligibility. The NMSAS Recovery Center will assist individuals in determining whether or not he/she meets eligibility or what services his/her insurance plan will cover.

Isn’t taking methadone or Suboxone just substituting one drug for another? Yes While medication is helpful in eliminating symptoms of withdrawal and craving, it does not change the behaviors or issues that contributed to the addiction. Counseling is a key component of the treatment program.
