In terms of artefacts, the Season 2 excavations at Oliver's Mound were five times more productive than the first season. Large quantities of bone, (red deer, pig, cattle) and more 13th century black glaze cooking ware were found, including some neatly decorated green glazed pieces and a rare piece of Anglo-Saxon ware.
