http://nzr120.blogspot.com/2015/07/lsc-containers.html
Lewis Holden's blog on modelling 1990s New Zealand Rail in NZ120 (1:120) scale. Saturday, July 18, 2015. I've always wanted one of those Speights containers. Pictured on Motorised Dandruff:. Speights LSC container. Stolen from NZ Railways Rolling Stock Lists. So I knocked this up:. As you can see I've designed this so that the tank can be painted separately (so I can add the Speights decal basically) and the ends added separately. I've ordered one and put the design up on Shapeways. NZ120 Nzr C 1930.

Lewis Holden's blog on modelling 1990s New Zealand Rail in NZ120 (1:120) scale. Friday, January 30, 2015. DSG 3249 in NZ120 III. A quick update: after a lot of work drilling holes, expanding the gaps for the couplers and drilling out the lights and modifying the chassis, I've finally primed DSG 3249. If you want to apply acrylic paint to Shapeways FUD models, apparently the best way to do it is the bathe them in Acetone (used in nailpolish remover) to remove any residue:. Little Trains of Thought: Decisions, Decisions ...
http://littletrainsofthought.blogspot.com/2010/06/decisions-decisions.html
Little Trains of Thought. Thursday, June 3, 2010. Decisions, Decisions . Thanks to Am Fet over at NZ120.org, I now have a 1995 schematic of the HIL. Studying this I see the loop should be placed first on the layout and then the United Empire Box Co. siding. No big shakes in the overall scheme of things. And there we have it, the model railway as Art modelling social commentary (he says, tounge firmly in cheek). The model railway as social commentary. Tagging and suchlike are not greatly difficult, partic...
