Quag & Soya: August 2005
http://quagandsoya.blogspot.com/2005_08_01_archive.html
The river now in circles ran, round the land of endless sand. Sunday, August 7. Posted by smazh at 17:31. Friday, August 5. Had dinner with my classmates at a yakitori place last night. Good food. Thinking about it now, I am suddenly reminded of satay. Good thing I am going back home for a holiday soon. Have to clear the fridge before I go back though. Pork chops and broccoli still remain. Quag & Soya: June 2005
http://quagandsoya.blogspot.com/2005_06_01_archive.html
The river now in circles ran, round the land of endless sand. Thursday, June 30. Watched the Confederation Cup third-place match and finals last night (this morning). Good thing I did. Anyway, since I am not a competent sports commentator, I shall stop here. Tofu : drain and press (to get rid of excess water) before use when frying. Posted by smazh at 11:28. Wednesday, June 29. Last night's dinner : simply stir-fried chicken and added tougay/bean sprouts near the end. Rating : so-so. Sunday, June 26.

Quag & Soya: February 2006
http://quagandsoya.blogspot.com/2006_02_01_archive.html
The river now in circles ran, round the land of endless sand. Tuesday, February 28. Peanut butter and golden mushrooms. Tried frying golden mushrooms/enoki with peanut butter this morning. Unfortunately it did not turn out as I had hoped. Was hoping for a strong peanut taste, but it seems the peanut butter I used was rather on the sweet side and not very strong. In fact, it was labelled as 'peanut cream'. So I ended up with a dish much sweeter than I had hoped for. Posted by smazh at 18:21.

The river now in circles ran, round the land of endless sand. Wednesday, May 31. Stirfried pork, potatoes, okra. Stirfried pork, potato slices and ladies' fingers today. Not bad, the pork slices were not overdone, unlike some other times. Posted by smazh at 09:13. View my complete profile.

Quag & Soya: January 2006
http://quagandsoya.blogspot.com/2006_01_01_archive.html
The river now in circles ran, round the land of endless sand. Tuesday, January 31. So on the eve (27th Jan) of Chinese New Year, a few of us gathered and had our reunion dinner. I did the scallops and mushroom dish. Too much water was exuded by the mushrooms, turning it into a watery version of the intended dish. Ah well, the flavour was passable. Could have been better though. Anyway, it was a great reunion dinner! Posted by smazh at 17:40. Tuesday, January 24. Posted by smazh at 23:01. Century eggs cam...

Quag & Soya: July 2005
http://quagandsoya.blogspot.com/2005_07_01_archive.html
The river now in circles ran, round the land of endless sand. Friday, July 29. The banana-tofu mix was ok. Taste was good but could do with more work on the texture. Need to mash the stuff better to make it smoother, although the present texture (crumbly? Undefined) is quite interesting too. Possibly use less beancurd and more banana. Placed remainder in freezer to see if it tastes better when even colder. Posted by smazh at 19:04. Thursday, July 28. Posted by smazh at 18:10. Tuesday, July 26. Which was ...

Quag & Soya: March 2006
http://quagandsoya.blogspot.com/2006_03_01_archive.html
The river now in circles ran, round the land of endless sand. Tuesday, March 21. Chicken and spinach, stir-fried. Yesterday's breakfast: stir-fried chicken and spinach. Usual combination, but heated the wok properly and everything came out with a wonderful fragrance. Only thing was I fried the chopped garlice a wee bit too long before adding in the meat. All turned to brown bits and the smell of slightly burnt garlic filled the air. Ah, but what a wonderful smell. Posted by smazh at 21:27. Friday, March 3.

The river now in circles ran, round the land of endless sand. Monday, November 28. Posted by smazh at 22:19. Sunday, November 20. Yesterday a mochi-tsuki party was held at my church and as it was a potluck dinner as well, I got together with my friend to make something Singaporean. After a meandering process of consideration and elimination, we decided to fry eggs. Of course, that means with other things as well. Posted by smazh at 17:23. Sunday, November 6. Hm, must try and find a picture of bakwan.

Quag & Soya: September 2005
http://quagandsoya.blogspot.com/2005_09_01_archive.html
The river now in circles ran, round the land of endless sand. Monday, September 26. A few days ago, tried something new: chop up a little garlic, grate a carrot, and beat two eggs. Heat oil in a frying pan, fry garlic, then fry the grated carrot a little, add egg. Result: fried egg with a fibrous, soft and spongy layer in the middle. Tastes not bad. Should have tried to spread out the carrot into a thinner layer though. Posted by smazh at 09:45. Thursday, September 22. This morning, fried enoki/ えのき.
