When I was a child in Montessori school, we would take crayons and sharpen them in the useless sharpener in the back of the box. We would then take the small bits of colored wax and put them in between wax paper. Ironing the papers on the lowest setting of the iron was the trickiest part. The result? A kaleidoscope effect that was refrigerator worthy. You have no where to go for 2-4 hours.
