Povert is a loose association of dorks with video cameras. The word "Povert" was a really bad joke between Jason. While in college, we'd refer to ourselves as "Poverts", that is, one who is in poverty. That's right, it's pronounced "Pah-vert", not "Poe-vert". So why is this page/project/whatever called Povert?
