We finally have gotten over a long episode of a lingering cold, and can go out and about more often. Grateful for health. Then there’s me with a hat, jacket and gloves, looking like a freak. It’s quite funny. We sat on a log, and tried to be still and listen to the nature. Hard for young boys to sit still for anything, but it was worth a try.

Wednesday, May 20, 2015. Spring Break in Baja, Week two. Mom and Dad left Saturday. We watched some of conference and enjoyed a quiet day.Emma's tooth feel out. We are now 2 for 2 for having the Tooth Fairy visit us in Baja! The kids had fun playing tether ball and we had another spectacular sunset! Easter Sunday was wonderful. We had a delicious meal of ham, grapes, mashed potatoes, french bread and roasted carrots. It was great to eat on paper plates! Made clean up so easy! We had a blast with them.

USS DAVIS Welcome Aboard! Sunday, November 27, 2011. My parents and 4 youngest siblings (Melodie, 16; Loralee, 14; Zach, 12; Jeremy, 10) were able to come spend a whole week with us! We went to the beach twice. The kids (older and younger) loved it and actually got totally immersed. They were used to low 30's so 81 was heaven! My family (especially Mom) kept our house so clean! They did all the dishes the whole week! I got to enjoy cooking without worrying about the clean-up. Good grief, it was my Mom!

Once the afternoon hit, I went to the flower website to make sure they were actually ordered. They were and were supposed to be delivered by 4:30. I waited and waited. Nothing. :( They didn't come! Tuesday, June 24, 2014. Our backyard was flourished with fresh florals as the trees and bushes were in bloom. I always enjoy that short window of perfect weather and blossoms before the April winds and summer heat. I love that even though we do live (or barely survive) in this dustbowl desert valley, there are some beautiful, colorful plants that can survive along with us!
