My Kiwi 5 31 15. My life changed forever. Animal control called, like so many times before. We've got one for you, Dean". That's all they ever have to say anymore, and I know to just go to the shelter. What I usually find is a dog so abused and neglected that it practically takes a miracle to save them. What I found this day, was a sad, yet fiercely indifferent, sweet little schipperke. It took all of three days before she would even look me in the eye, but on that 3rd day, she turned and licked my nose.

For Every Tear Cried. Moses survived for 9 months in our care. He was malnourished, anemic & lyme positive. He was also deaf and mostly blind. What looks like dirt in this pic, is actually fleas. I was being scolded during an adoption event by a rather irate attendee, who was upset about Rescue Fees being so high. I was told that Animal Rescues were, and I quote………. 8220;just getting rich off of animals they get for free”. So I figured it out that I should charge $5 for……. From a mangled and neglected dog.
