Chicago Single Speed MTB

Sunday, June 21, 2009. Ok, I'm not going to dwell on the fact that I haven't posted since March, but that's pretty much the state of affairs of mountain biking in Chicago in the spring. It ain't happnin. First race (Sylvan Island, IL) DNF in the mud, second race (6 hours of John Muir) horrible bonk, and not a lot of trail miles in between. Some road miles, but the majority of my training has been on foot. Ironically, this may have been the best thing for my Lumberjack training! I'll get to that later).

Chicago Single Speed MTB: Iceman Report to follow...

http://onefingspeed.blogspot.com/2008/11/iceman-report-to-follow.html

Monday, November 10, 2008. Iceman Report to follow. I'm still in recovery mode. I'll write up the Iceman weekend later. Put on a hell of a show at the Loading Dock, I'm just hoping the ringing in my ears goes away soon. I might have considered that before spending 4 straight hours in front of the stage. :(. But I will say it was great partying with all my friends, especially the ones I only get to see at these big races. And it was great making new friends as well! I'm already looking forward to 2009!

I didn't buy a new bike tonight. in fact, i didn't even go to the bike shop. during the afternoon, i remembered seeing a post on the mmba board from a shop that has a full fleet of demo 29ers.sunrise sports up in fenton. so i gave chad a call and he said he has a 17.5" paragon for me to demo. what a genius idea! There's no obligation to test ride their 29ers. I hate spring weather! I'm not even sure what the plan is for tomorrow. ...
