Phil The Poet

http://onepoet.co.uk/The-Secret-Garden.php

The wind blew through the trees. The trees were bending at the knees. The knees were knocking at my door. The dormouse scampered across the floor. The floor came up to meet my chin. The chin was there through too much gin. The gingerbread man came round to tea. The tea was where it ought to be. The Bee got honey from the flower. The flower opened at that hour. The hour bought on what was destined. The destined bought on howling wind. The wind blew through the trees. The trees were bending at the knees.

Don't look down on the Wildebeest. He doesn't like it, you know. He's proud and upright and really quite tall. And likes to put on a show. Don't look down on the Wildebeest. He's stubborn through and through. His name is very important. And G’never call him a Gnu. Here is a tale from when I was a kid. Bout old Ma Supial , she's no slouch,. Raised her kids alone she did. Raised them in a pouch. They kicked and screamed, quite a bit. Which hurt her deep inside. But she never, ever thought to quit.

Welcome to the Story Room, where we entertain our visitors with stories that will make your imagination run and jump and scream out with wonder and delight. Well we hope so. Our first story is: -. The Adventures of Princess Butter Corn. Princess Butter Corn demanded an audience with her Father, the King. “Pop”, she said, “I want an audience! 8221; She stamped her foot to make the point. The King summoned one immediately from ‘Rent-a-Crowd’. “What are you going to sing today, my dear? Well it was sometime...

one poem / a day

One poem / a day. Nanowrimo Week 1 Excerpt. November 9, 2014. Here’s an excerpt of my writing from the first week of Nanowrimo. Prologue: From the Sky. You are a thirty year old woman living in a Vancouver with a dog and a boyfriend. You are a scientist and you are doing interesting research at the university. This is a nice life I have, you think, staring up at that clear blue sky with just a few wisps of cloud on this cool and unusually sunny day. It smells like: pine needles, grass, dirt and wet dog.

This WordPress.com site is the cat’s pajamas. June 5, 2014. Each week I will post one of my own poems. Feel free to assess, dissect and discuss each poem. At the end of each week I will give what my thoughts and feelings were when the poem was written and its meaning and will then post another poem. O say can you see the hypocrisy. The deceit and the duplicity. Now on your face I see the hurt and scorn. No mention of the sinful crime, the sordid porn. The rampant unbridled sleaze. Upright, uptight, up al...

One Poem Every Day

One Poem Every Day. Saturday, July 11, 2015. Waves upon waves–darkness and light. Waves upon waves–laughter and tears. Arrivals at dawn, goodbyes at night. Floating down the stream. One lonely touch, a tryst in a dream. The wave of a hand, the turn of a head. Lost hopes of lifetimes. Lost with the dead. Yet, desire. No strength. But a life full of toil. Bow broken boat adrift on the waves. Yet, desire. No words. But a heart broken voice. Half weep, half rejoice. And waves upon waves upon waves upon waves.

The joy of the Lord is my strength. I celebrate with great joy because. I’ve heard His words and understood them. You alone are the Lord. You are always true to your word. I was stubborn and proud,. But you are a God of forgiveness,. Gracious and merciful,. Slow to become angry,. Rich in unfailing love. You did not abandon me,.

One Poem One Day

One Poem One Day. Wednesday, October 27, 2010. One day I watched a tree shed all it’s leaves in an hour. It was a young tree. It’s haste left me rooted to the ground. It was taking my speed. My need to get it done get it done get it done now. My ineptitude in the art of waiting. Or was I poisoning it? My mere presence sapping this tree of it’s youth. Bulldozing it towards winter’s crisp grasp. Monday, May 24, 2010. A veil before your eyes. Drown in heavy cream. Toss the container in the street. At two am,.

I Am Dorothy's Daughter | A great WordPress.com site

I Am Dorothy's Daughter. A great WordPress.com site. April 23, 2014. That was what my mom was all about, keeping the magic alive. I hopped out of bed, and threw together the baskets in record time. 8221; I looked up into my husband’s face. He just smiled and said “what are you talking about? 8221;, and I knew. At the same time that Kelsey was looking at me like I was crazy because “the Easter Bunny ALWAYS bites the ears off your bunny – so what’s the big deal? February 13, 2014. When we get there. POETRY BLOG

My poetry blog, where I will upload my poems, for you to read at your own leisure. Tuesday, March 16, 2010. Sea Ocean. A stir. Bask in it's glory, it's spray of hope, adventure, and poetic dreams. Just a poem about the sea, and my brief desires. The water doesn’t belong to me. I wish I could reel it in, a mass of crisp. Bubbly air, and disintegrate the. Dots of green,. Here and there,. The spots where humanity has. Let go of its fury, wrappers floating. Or pressed down by the weight of. The way back home.

Thursday, July 17, 2008. Winter must be out of style. Labor Day has been gone awhile. Long, long after vernal's light,. Boldly wearing flakes of white. So too the moon should change it glow. To that which disavows the snow. A tone of ivory or cream. Would do for winter months to gleam. As well, the white owl, fox and bear. Could do with something else to wear. Or they should wait until the Spring. When donning white is in again. But this is not as nature deems. Then we are in the wrong it seems. And the ...
