http://onoalmanac.blogspot.com/2016_06_01_archive.html
Snips and snaps of bits and pieces from Ono County. Thursday, June 30, 2016. Poker and Ace found a home on our sofa. The politically correct term is rescued animals though I'm not sure where that business originated. I suppose it must have come from shelters that help to provide homes for pets others no longer want or who can not provide for their care. They are chipped, have been neutered, and get their shots on a yearly bases. They will not endure cats or another dog near our house. We hope the...Pest ...

http://onoalmanac.blogspot.com/2016/11/grannys-tools.html
Snips and snaps of bits and pieces from Ono County. Friday, November 18, 2016. This past week we've been working on a selection of photographs for a showing: The Mechanics of Composition: a study of machinery. I suggested the theme, having in mind the working word "composition" and my friends threw me a spanner. They focused on the machines, which is hard work because it pushes one to use creativity and acrobatics to make a decent photograph. Physics defines " work. I was giving Nash fits climbing around...

Thursday, October 29, 2015. Telemarketing IN Our Day. We did not write this. It came to us in an email. We have no idea who wrote it or when, but it cracked us up when we read it and wanted to share. It would make a marvelous teaching tool if you didn't get drummed out of the classroom for being sexist. It is not for enlightenment, but for pure fun. One buzz word in today's business world is MARKETING. You're at a party and see a handsome guy. He fancies you, but you talk him into going home with you...

Nash Black's Views: Novel Ideas
http://nashblacksviews.blogspot.com/2012/09/novel-ideas.html
Tuesday, September 18, 2012. Is the most profound futuristic novel I have read in a long time. It begins as an adventure when Penny Reed refuses to become a ward of the state after her father's death. She steals her father's sailboat and travels across the Pacific to find a grandfather she has never known. Set in the year 2044 of absolute socialism when all personal assets belong to the state, their personal conflict and resolution are the bone structure of a complex novel with intricate themes. An old f...

Just for today I will live through the next 12 hours and not tackle my whole life's problems at once. Just for today I will improve my mind. I will read something that will require effort, thought, and concentration. Just for today I will be unafraid. Es...

Friday, September 11, 2009. Kate Carlisle has introduced a new sleuth to the cozy mystery scene with Brooklyn Wainright in. Brooklyn has an intriguing occupation, she repairs and restores antique books, this painstaking work gives her a deep insight into teeny details the ordinary person would never see.
