These include the extra tissue resting above the mitral valve, and also the papillary muscles that work to open the valve. A lot has happened since the last time I wrote a post in this space. We welcomed our baby Jackson last November, who, a few days after being born, was diagnosed with Congenital Heart Disease (CHD).
