http://thecopperclub.blogspot.com/2008/10/there-is-no-reason-to-panic.html
Friday, October 10, 2008. There Is No Reason to Panic. Casey Mulligan in The New York Times. In the New York Times. He very clearly lays out economic arguments as to why things are just not that bad. He concludes as follows:. So, if you are not employed by the financial industry (94 percent of you are. Not), don’t worry. The current unemployment rate of 6.1 percent is not alarming,. Seeing into the True Nature. Reason #21,066 reason to distrust all scientific studies. Originally posted November 21, 2016. I see a lot of people claiming that jobs are good for people, because jobs give life more meaning. They point to studies "showing" that people are happier when employed than unemployed, even when "controlling" for just giving people money. Needless to say I haven't read any of these, because I am not in the habit of filling my brain with motivated bullshit. Now first of all, really?
