Eksposure di kawal dengan mengawal bukaan aperture, berapa lama ia di buka iaitu shutter speed, dan kawalan ISO. Kelajuan yang rendah seperti 1/10 akan merakam pergerakan objek dengan samar (blur). Shutter yang rendah seperti 4 saat boleh menjadikan pergerakan air nampak lembut. Tripod diperlukan untuk mengelakkan gegaran.
