As a young boy he developed a passion for cooking. He worked many years perfecting the taco for which he would one day become famous. When the war broke out, Paco joined the army. During a skirmish, he was shot in the leg and taken to the infirmary where he was. Visited by an angel.

The World's Quickest Theatre Festival Puts Down Roots in Austin. And The Beervo Award Goes To…. Producer Rachel Gilbert presents the Beervo-Beer Sword of Greatness! The Mazen Award is awarded to veteran participants of 14/48 who embody the spirit of community and risk-taking inherent in our process. The award is named for longtime local actor Glenn Mazen, a supporter of the festival who passed away in 2003. Each year, a beautiful award is given, with a bottle of scotch and shot glasses.
