April 21, 2016. Do You Want to Know What? Title of this one comes from something Rachael likes to say. “Do you want to know what, Yaya,” is something I hear a lot, and I have to say, I love it. Two layers of mountains, somewhere east of Billings, MT. Mountains between Billings and Livingston, MT. We got to Belgrade (not too far from Bozeman, which has the closest international airport) around 3pm on Saturday, and I know we were exhausted, but happy to finally have arrived. February 18, 2016. The Beginning & Background. I lost my job on January 7, 2016. I’m pretty sure this is the best thing that’s ever happened to me. I gave very nearly 4 years of time to that company, day in and day out, and when I was laid off, it hurt. I rallied quickly though, and explored other options. I’m not sure I could have left on my own, but the layoff was, perhaps, the push I needed in order to get myself together. I’m looking forward to starting a new adventure. Terrifying, but cool.

April 4, 2016. Driving and Rocky Mountain National Park. Colorado sunset, on I-70 on our way west toward Denver. Saturday was mostly spent at my sister Katie and her husband Ted’s house. I think Dad and I both needed a bit of a rest, and we definitely got it. Longs Peak, the snowcapped peak on the right of the picture, is the highest point in RMNP (14,259 ft).
