People Think Our Lives Are Fascinating: January 2010
http://ptolaf.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html
Friday, January 29, 2010. I wonder what percentage of people partially or completely ignore the bay bridge metering lights? Again today the car ahead of me stopped where they were supposed to, and then just went. The light hadn't turned green. I think it's because to everybody else it makes them look like they're not blowing off the light. A more subtle act of entitlement in that they know they're not entitled and don't want everybody else to see that they think they are. Links to this post. The other da...

People Think Our Lives Are Fascinating: Day Light Savings Time/Mouth Noises
http://ptolaf.blogspot.com/2010/03/day-light-savings-timemouth-noises.html
Tuesday, March 16, 2010. Day Light Savings Time/Mouth Noises. In general, I think this whole day light savings thing is a big waste of everything. How many people either get more tired than normal or miss important meetings due to this clock change? And for what, exactly? For farmers, I guess. I hope for them it's something that is useful. People Think Our Lives Are Fascinating: February 2009
http://ptolaf.blogspot.com/2009_02_01_archive.html
Saturday, February 7, 2009. We walked around our hood today and stopped to have a cup of the best hot chocolate in town. I also noticed two three bedroom houses for rent all within ten blocks of us. One for $3500 and another for $2950. Don't those rents seem a little high to you? In other news my honeypot's been sick the past couple of days. My poor honeypot. Links to this post. People Think Our Lives Are Fascinating: July 2009
http://ptolaf.blogspot.com/2009_07_01_archive.html
Sunday, July 26, 2009. It's been a week since I lasted posted and I was sure a week ago that we would be so busy with our new bundle of joy that I wouldn't be posting for that reason. Well, I have not delivered yet. I'm now officially 1 week overdue from my ultrasound date of July 19th. Our daughter is firmly a Leo now (so much for being a Cancer). All the predicted dates of delivery by various friends has passed. The only other fun date is July 26th, which is my mother-in-law's birthday. That wo...I too...

Sunday, February 21, 2010. Maddie and I on a Trip to Japan? I'll just bring her with me. So, I was thinking of going to Japan. It's the cleanest and most modern place I would like to currently travel to and I think it's the best choice for Maddie. After talking to several coworkers "in the know" on Friday all of them said "Yes, you should totally go. You won't have any problems being there and getting around with the baby.". Am I crazy enough to actually go? I'm confident it will be a whole new experience.

Friday, March 26, 2010. NY Times Article on the ridiculously high rate of Csections. Http:/ www.nytimes.com/2010/03/24/health/24birth.html? I love this quote:. 8220;We should do inductions for good solid medical reasons, not for convenience or the day of the week,” Dr. Macones said. “Sometimes patients push you.”. He's suggesting that it's the consumer asking for this! As if I'm sure there are some pockets of people who want to schedule their birth, but I cannot believe that it's very much. I noticed she...
