Extreme Motor Sports - Fast Cars. モータースポーツは 速さ を競う競技であるが、これは基本的に 速く走る ことと同時に 相手よりも早く無事に目的地につく という2つの本質がある。 したがって、競技によってはファステストラップという最速でサーキットを周回することを1つの名誉としたレースもあるが、ル マン24時間レースなどのように ゴール出来ないと完走扱いとならない という競技もある。 優勝者はド ディオン ブートン社の自動車をドライブしたジョルジュ ブートンであった。 彼はアルバート ド ディオン伯爵と共にド ディオン ブートン社を共同設立した人物でもあり、又、これをレースと呼ぶには程遠い内容であったとも伝えられる。 その問題を改善して行われたのが1895年に開催された パリ - ボルドー - パリトライアル という1178kmという非常に長い距離を競う耐久レースである。 その他にも過去にはル マン24時間レースで採用されていた ル マン方式 というスタート方法もある。 ドラッグレースに使用される車両を大きく分けると ドラッグスター と ファニーカー の2つに分けられる。
