k n i t t i n g p a r k: 337 days til Christmas!
http://knittingpark.blogspot.com/2015/01/337-days-til-christmas.html
Wednesday, January 21, 2015. 337 days til Christmas! Ya, and I'm going to need all 337 days! I wanted to get back to some traditional cable knitting this year. So I pull out my Aran Knitting. By Alice Starmore (doesn't get much more traditional than that, eh? Thinking I would whip up Na Craga. For Matt in no time (a: I've knit it before and b: the cables are easily memorized). However, Matt took one look at Irish Moss. And fell in love. Well, can't argue with his taste! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

k n i t t i n g p a r k: Newsbreak: Cindy Finishes a Sweater!
http://knittingpark.blogspot.com/2011/05/newsbreak-cindy-finishes-sweater.html
Monday, May 23, 2011. Newsbreak: Cindy Finishes a Sweater! And is happy with it! It has been a while, that's for sure. The knitting mojo might be back! It feels like this is the first project in almost two years that I feel really good about. There was very little frogging, it went together easily and I'm very happy with how it looks (Matt has yet to try it on. hopefully he'll be pleased with the fit). Guess I should do some project stats, eh? My favoritest knitting book, ever! Changes to the pattern:.

k n i t t i n g p a r k: Holiday Roundup
http://knittingpark.blogspot.com/2015/01/holiday-roundup.html
Friday, January 09, 2015. This is the first year in a long time that Matt did not get a new sweater for Christmas. While I have a few sweaters close that I could've finished up, my attention span just wasn't on board. So he got a few smaller projects this year. A simple watch hat in some of hand dyed gradient yarn that Julie and I dyed a little while ago. I used a greyish natural color as the yarn base and Wilton's True Blue (maybe? The man does like to keep his neck warm! Blogger does not give me your e...

k n i t t i n g p a r k: FO: Seamless Hybrid
http://knittingpark.blogspot.com/2012/12/fo-seamless-hybrid.html
Saturday, December 08, 2012. Okay, this is going to be a long one. Lots of photos, lots of ramblings! All for what is actually a fairly simple project that wasn't so simple. Matt's Christmas project is done (and already being worn. Ya, we're not really good at the whole "wait 'til Christmas" thing. however, I might snag it back and wrap it for under the tree. If I can get it off him). On of my favorite things I did (apart from that little pocket on the sleeve) is use an attached I-cord for the zipper....

http://knittingpark.blogspot.com/2011/10/sampler-block-cardigan-is-done.html
Thursday, October 27, 2011. The Sampler Block Cardigan is done. sort of. Seems I made the sleeves a smidge too long (and here I was trying to conserve yarn! I'm hoping that I have enough after shortening that I can re-do the button bands in the original yarn. While the different dye lot doesn't look terrible, it would be nice for it to be all in one dye lot. if I can do it. For now, we're calling it a FO, so let's do some Project Stats! Black Water Abbey worsted in silver. Problems with the pattern:.

k n i t t i n g p a r k: The Big Reveal: Portland
http://knittingpark.blogspot.com/2012/10/the-big-reveal-portland.html
Wednesday, October 24, 2012. The Big Reveal: Portland. Portland is done. and faster than I expected! I was able to get thru the second sleeve much faster than usual, as I did it while being social. Food, friends and beer always helps knitting go faster! Still not blocked, but according to Matt, he likes the fit, so the wooly board blocking that I had intended is out (I'll do a soak, lay flat to dry). Let's do the project stats, then a bunch of photos! Changes to the pattern:. Problems with the pattern:.

k n i t t i n g p a r k: No Earflaps Today!
http://knittingpark.blogspot.com/2010/12/no-earflaps-today.html
Thursday, December 02, 2010. Here's my latest procrastination project:. It's not blocked yet, and I just did a quick photo (which does NOT do it justice, to say the least). However, I LOVE it! Shall we do some project stats? Problems with the pattern:. It's a Chic Knits, so no. Changes to the pattern:. Like the Ribby, this will be a staple pattern where a different yarn will give me a very different sweater. I'm very tempted to cast on an other one right now (thus avoiding a second earflap). I can do you...

k n i t t i n g p a r k: Harbinger of Haggis
http://knittingpark.blogspot.com/2011/06/harbinger-of-haggis.html
Tuesday, June 28, 2011. Harriet is basically done. I still need to find buttons and it needs just a light steam on the seams and button bands. All I can say is: I LOVE IT! The yarn at this gauge is so light and soft. Works well with the lacey pattern and the drape is fabulous. This is going to be a staple piece of clothing in my wardrobe. So while I still need buttons, and I can't get a decent photo of it, I'm calling it done for now. Harriet (yes yes, it's from A Fine Fleece. Problems with the pattern:.

k n i t t i n g p a r k: Year in Review
http://knittingpark.blogspot.com/2014/12/year-in-review.html
Friday, December 19, 2014. At the beginning of the year I had really only two goals: knit more for me and more frickin' color (last year it was about Matt and neutrals). While my FO list is fairly short, let's say that it was definitely a quality over quantity year. First thing I finished this year was Amanda. One of two sweaters I finished for Matt this year. I made Matt Brownstone. In white Cotton Ease, and it's too heavy for what I wanted. The white and cropped fit make it a summer-esque sweater, ...
