Under the Monkey Tree. Thursday, August 31, 2006. Anysara Gets Political - U.S. Senate Races 2006. With that disclaimer, here's the break down of U.S. Senate races:. Current seat holdings in the U.S. Senate:. In order to take control of the Senate, Democrats need to hold all seats and pick up 7 seats from Republicans. While this is unlikely, few Demcratic seats are in danger (only Connecticut comes to mind due to the Lieberman debacle) and Dems stand a decent chance of picking up at least two seats.

Under the Monkey Tree. Thursday, September 21, 2006. Quote of the Day. I read this and had to post it to the blog:. At least one U.S. Senator takes the Iranian threat very seriously. "I think he's a Hitler type of person," said Sen. George Voinovich (R.-Ohio) about Iranian President Ahmedinejad, adding, "I call him Ahmed-in-a-head.". Posted by Chabad Chammer at 11:49. http://chossonhunt.blogspot.com/2005_06_01_archive.html
And they lived happily ever after. Sunday, June 26, 2005. Too muggy to blog. Ok, it's hot and sticky and I'm not in the mood to blog, but I'll give you this short update. I AM going to NYC this week and I have a date with the Israeli on Wednesday. Used Car guy is going out of town so I won't be meeting him this trip, but hopefully I can make some good connections while I'm there. Is this an okay practice? In any case, it won't be an issue on this trip. Posted by Sarah @ 19:48. Tuesday, June 21, 2005.

I've finished work and am now enjoying a well-deserved week on the West Coast with Soulmate. Will keep you posted. Posted by Sarah @ 11:04. Monday, February 06, 2006. Weddings are a scam. Well, at least attempting to pay for them is a scam. Why are these extra fees? If I've already spent a Large Sum of Money, shouldn't these services be included? On Friday, I called to put in the fina...

Thursday, October 26, 2006. In a society obsessed with sex (you're reading this post, aren't you? So, what does this have to do with the price of chocolate in blogland? How about this: keep your private life private. love whomever you like. have sex however you want. live with anyone who makes you happy. just don't throw it in my face and tell me i have to endorse it. But what about maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaariage? Legislate that. you want your partner to be your next of kin for medical stuff? You can se...

Monday, March 27, 2006. I Think, Therefore I Am Not. Listening to reports about the pro-illegal immigrant march/rally the other day, i was hit by a particularly pithy slogan: "i am not a criminal! Assuming this placard was carried by an immigrant of the non-legal variety (which it must have been, or else, why bother? I am left with the question: if a person who does an action which is not legal and is, in fact, a crime, is not a criminal, then who is? And why doesn't anyone catch on? I had a friend from ...

Under the Monkey Tree. Wednesday, June 21, 2006. Here I sit at my regular perch in Serious Coffee whiling away the morning writing, emailing, and playing online sudoku. I've been surfing some new blogs lately - their links can be found on the right - which brings me to my first point of interest of the day. Was the 2004 Presidential Election stolen and do we really care now that it's 2006? Yesterday I was reading this article in Rolling Stone. There is reportedly a rebuttal here. Where would it end?

Thursday, August 31, 2006. The Dumbacrats and Progressives Progressing Toward Nothing. Several weeks ago (on AM radio- go figure! They seem to value progress only in the direction of the dangerous or obscene. let me illustrate by a few examples:. While conservatives want parents to have school choice for their children, "progressives" want to keep everyone (especially the poor, who suffer inordinately for not having any viable educational options) lockied into a failing system of outdated public education.
