http://glitz54.blogspot.com/2008_09_01_archive.html
Tuesday, September 30, 2008. On "Taking a Break.". Okay, I know it has been a long time since I've written a new post! I will admit, I have been AWOL, sleeping on the job, or whatever you want to call it. BUT, I do have a couple of good reasons/excuses. 1) I started working again - PART TIME. but let me tell you; it has been quite an adjustment! More on that in a moment.). 2) I'm having major problems/pain with my back, AGAIN! Now, back to the JOB! Well - except for a couple of minor things - and all jobs.

Tuesday, April 29, 2008. It took us all of August, September and October.well, we sold/closed on the house on the 27th of October; so basically 3 months! That was one job I hope NEVER to have to do for anyone again! There were days I wondered if I'd ever move forward again, rather than backward - but I have made a lot of progress; there are times that I actually find myself "really laughing from my heart and soul - not just my mouth! 2 Corinthians 4:7 -NLT. Gail's Potpourri: School at 54~!
http://glitz54.blogspot.com/2009/05/school-at-54.html
Friday, May 22, 2009. I just completed my first week at school. I decided to get some type of "Certification" that was current, because jobs are so hard to find and I need to supplement my income. Fortunately, there was 1 opening in the Certified Pharmacy Tech program at Mid Michigan Community College - here in Mt. Pleasant. My brain kind of feels like it is 'mush' and on "information overload", but this, too, will pass! At least I HOPE so! I'm really thankful for a long Holiday week-end. Deceptions and ...

Gail's Potpourri: Beauty in Unusual Places
http://glitz54.blogspot.com/2008/11/beauty-in-unusual-places.html
Thursday, November 20, 2008. Beauty in Unusual Places. Just as the Fall season was upon us, I was greatly delighted to see "beauty" in unusual places. I found them a few weeks apart and took pictures of each " on the spot. Each picture was of a form of life growing out of a place that was unexpected. This is the first one I saw; growing right outside the Insurance Office I utilize, on a down-town sidewalk in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan. I was SO. Growing and surviving around me. He had on a Cub Scout uniform&...

Saturday, April 18, 2009. The Phenomenon of Spring. One day after the snow is finally gone and you are "waiting" for those special signs of Spring, there it is - right in front of your eyes. The Forsythia has bloomed! I was taking my trash out yesterday and suddenly I noticed that the bushes beside the trash bin were in full bloom. However, that was never to be. The Forsythia bloomed, and a few days later, Mama died. As I saw their beauty, yesterday, it was very bitter-sweet. I don't recall even noti...

http://glitz54.blogspot.com/2008_05_01_archive.html
Sunday, May 11, 2008. Today has been a bitter, yet sweet day for me. Lots of “happy” and lots of “tears“. Love flowers and the beauty of them’. So I gave her the best thing I could; beautiful flowers in shades of orange; roses and alstromeria. Happy Mother's Day, Mama; I love and miss you. I can never get too many of them! Tuesday, May 6, 2008. This is a Presidential Election year. If there was ever an award for VOTER Of The YEAR, it would have gone every year to my Dad. He read and studied and l...What ...

Gail's Potpourri: June 2008

Friday, June 27, 2008. Broken and Spilled Out. Now, before I go any farther, let me say I also Googled "vinegar" and found that it has been used throughout the years for many, many things. It is used for medicinal purposes, cleaning things of every variety, and last by not least, for culinary purposes. 1)Until I realized I was "broken" I had no need for God in my life. 2)Until I came to the end of myself (sweet abandon) I didn't want God to rescue/fix me. Matthew 26:6-13 and John 12:1-8 both give an acco...
