Horselips’s Horse Sense. A gardening blog with a few surprises thrown in now and then. Bloom Day June 15, 2009. July 16, 2009. I’m so sick of this heat I feel like I’m losing my mind. My plants look like HELL and the bugs are eating the scraggly leaves so fast I can’t keep up! Plumeria rubra Edi Moragne. Each time I travel to Hawaii I bring back some plumeria sticks. This bloom is from one of my oldest and largest plants. The fragrance of these blooms is intoxicating. The delicate blooms of the Thai ruel...

Horselips’s Horse Sense. A gardening blog with a few surprises thrown in now and then. Bloom Day, February 2009. February 15, 2009. Delphinium blooming its little heart out. The first one that I want to show is the delphinium. Staghorn and Maidenhair ferns. I might as well get this rule violation out of the way too. Not technically a flower, this staghorn fern. With a little maidenhair fern poking out looked so good I thought it needed to be seen as well. Fire me and flog me if you must. Feed me, Seymour.

http://thoroughlymodernmother.blogspot.com/2012/05/reclaimed-dining-room-table.html
Friday, May 4, 2012. Reclaimed, Dining room table. Our table is finally done! In Johnson City, Texas. He decided to make the trip out there one day, and came home with 3 pieces of wood from the floor of an antique boxcar. He was also given the name of a local carpenter, Tony Romano, who could build the table for us. Wood, $70 per plank. It turned out so beautiful. Way beyond our expectations. June 11, 2012 at 5:28 PM. Thats a gorgeous table! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Blue Quinoa baby food.

Raquo; Door to nowhere. April 27, 2015. Today Paulette and Bob helped me to find a cool front door for the log home in Johnson City at “ Pieces of the Past. Rather than buying a new door, I purchased a door made from salvaged wood, a nice solid door that should fit nicely in the log home. So even though I have nothing there yet, at least I have a door to nowhere. Solid salvaged wood doorTo make it more authentic, I also got a used handle and string hinges, as the door is very solid.
