I have made some nasty tasting, gluten free food. i have proven that it is possible to make chocolate taste disgusting. {a culinary feat, i believe}. I have also made brownies taste like edible sand. large pats of butter made my last batch of muffins edible. I'm only giving guidelines on spice amounts. make your own to taste. Gluten Free Mulligatawny Soup. 2 carrots, sliced or diced. 2 celery stalks, sliced thinly.

A blog for family and friends. Thursday, October 28, 2010. I've been wanting to post some of my short stories for a while now. Sort of like a lazy publication. Here's one I wrote years ago during CSU Fresno's Summer Arts Program. I took an experimental narrative class with Doug Rice. The line up of visiting artists was spectacular, and they opened my eyes to a genre of writing I didn't know existed. Like Double or nothing. The words of the book are written in the crazy typography shapes and spirals.

Friday, June 6, 2008. Piano Lessons and Tornadoes. I'm sitting here listening to the tornado siren go off and it's about 45 minutes before I'm supposed to teach piano lessons. I think maybe I should cancel. What do you think? I guess it depends on what the families want to say about their lives when they are all over (maybe sooner than later). I rode in the back seat of the car and watched a tornado chase me the whole way to piano lessons! I know I can't say that about my childhood! Links to this post.

Tuesday, April 27, 2010. Pinewood Derby and Life. Local Pinewood Derby - Ian took 2 nd. Place overall. His car was designed after K.I.T.T. in the 1980's show Knight Rider. One of Ian's races. Sunday, August 15, 2010. Good grief I am not doing well with this blog lately! We are all well and happy. Germany is amazing and we have seen so many great things. I'll post pictures eventually. The weather is nice as well. I know most of our friends and loved ones are battling the heat wave in the states. Yesterday the high was 69 and windy. I needed a jacket in the shade. It is so nice! I have some things I've been pondering that I'd like to share on here. Maybe I'll get to that this week. :).
