I took some Dramamine, and it’s alleviating a little bit of the nausea, but the rocking effect is in full force. It feels like the world around me is shifting, even when I look in one place. I’m not a fan of this, and especially at a time when I should be celebrating! After eight incredibly long, arduous years, I finished my PhD last month and am graduating in a few weeks! Not fun. Not fun at all.

At acupuncture tonight, during a treatment I’ve had a bunch of times, I suddenly have the sensation of falling through the table. My acupuncturist removes the needles, and asks if I want to continue. My grandmother and mother historically complained of ‘the vertigo’ from time to time, and I would wonder in secret if this mysterious (not to mention invisible) ailment they spoke of was in fact real.
