http://poetry.brianparis.com/2010/04/06/shades
The Poetry of Brian Paris. Week 52, Day 361 – “Shades”. April 6, 2010. There are three shades of crazy. High school naive hormone crazy. Love, brain fucked, face plant crazy. The one crazy that i’m stuck on today. Thinking that i’ll forget about you. And life will move on, and on. And i’ll keep dancing. Dancing to hide the tears in sweat. Wrap Up | The Poetry of Brian Paris
http://poetry.brianparis.com/2010/04/17/wrap-up
The Poetry of Brian Paris. April 17, 2010. Well, I have completed my year of poetry and what have I learned? Where do I go from here? Well the thought has been to go back and find some of the good poems, rework them to make them better and publish a book of the years work. This still seems like a good idea, but I think that taking a break for a few more weeks seems like a good idea. I’ll keep the site up and post updates when they come. Thanks to everyone who has followed my year.

The Poetry of Brian Paris. Week 52, Day 358 – “Middle”. April 3, 2010. Middle of my life. And not sure yet – just waiting. Like a loyal dog. Thinking nothing – a statue. Both comments and trackbacks are currently closed. 2016 The Poetry of Brian Paris.

My Style | The Poetry of Brian Paris
http://poetry.brianparis.com/my-style
The Poetry of Brian Paris. I like to write short poems, most under twelve lines. The basic structure is usually based on syllables. Each line, without a defined meter, has a set number of syllables. Don’t know why, but I find lines with odd numbers of syllables to be the most pleasing. Maybe it gets me away from relying on a set meter. 2016 The Poetry of Brian Paris.

When two dreams collide. Sometimes love is not enough to live. When you need a make a life. You simply have no more to give. Each tear is like a knife. So silent pacts inside are made. No words to say out loud. But when the debts have all been paid. Maybe love could be allowed. Share if you enjoyed…. Page 1 of 167. Type and Press “enter” to Search.

Mortality Measured in Metaphor
Mortality Measured in Metaphor. The poetry of B. T. Forsythe and miscellaneous poetrivia. Saturday, August 9, 2014. We each lie in our gutter, little more than gutter. Reaching to the street, we craft bodies from blacktop and rainwater,. Lips from weeded anthills, ill-formed. We tap out a sidewalk patois, gutter to gutter speech. Posted by B. T. Forsythe. 0 comments (click to comment). Friday, July 9, 2010. To strike and drive the nail. My teeth to bite the face. Of the knurl,. My arms to move mountains.

April 7, 2015. A Poem About Women. The salt of the earth. Bore flesh to replenish recycling life. The burden of responsibility. All she has she gives. Because she is woman. Life lessons she teaches. Love in times of turmoil. She gives her life for her cause As she cries out to God. For strength to give more of what she doesn’t have. All because she is a woman. Food on the table. When there is no bread. How does she budget the stipend she gets? Her gifts are enormous. Her will is strong. A woman she is.
