Bobo Gallery: Life Cycle of a Butterfly - Learning w/Pasta & more
http://bobogallery.blogspot.com/2011/05/life-cycle-of-butterfly-learning-wpasta.html
Life Cycle of a Butterfly - Learning w/Pasta and more. After a week devoted to caterpillar fun we naturally progressed into our butterfly theme this week. I started the week discussing the Butterfly Life Cycle (which we also touched on last week). There is just no better way to teach this than by observing it first hand. We have had such a wonderful time watching our caterpillars grow, shed, prepare and form their chrysalis and emerge as butterflies right before our eyes! From Caterpillar to Butterfly.

CC Webster Children's Ministry Blog: Palm Sunday & Resurrection Sunday
http://ccwcms.blogspot.com/2010/03/palm-sunday-resurrection-sunday.html
CC Webster Children's Ministry Blog. Wednesday, March 24, 2010. Palm Sunday and Resurrection Sunday. Easter must be early this year, or time is going fast! This Sunday, the 28th, is Palm Sunday, and April 4th is Easter (is that too obvious? I'm not sure if everyone will do a teaching on the triumphal entry, but I thought I would get a discussion going on ideas for both this, and Resurrection Sunday. But there is a fine line between simple and boring for kids :). 26 March, 2010 05:41. 1st and 2nd Graders.

Learning 4 Fun!: September 2010
http://teaching4joy.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html
Wednesday, September 29, 2010. Such a simple game, I just realized it was one I could teach Eli to practice "which number is higher" idea! If you're not familiar with it, you can read the general rules of the game HERE. We played with three players and even four would be good, vs only two players. He caught right on, even with the Jack-Queen-King thing. Ace was a little tricky to remember, but whatever. Fun was had! Though we did play for only awhile {not completion. IS there completion to that game?

Learning 4 Fun!: Lions at Lunchtime
http://teaching4joy.blogspot.com/2012/09/lions-at-lunchtime.html
Saturday, September 29, 2012. We read through the book all at once so it was a bit much to go through these review questions. All in one sitting but there were some good ones in there, some including family discussion like. Tell about a time you and another person worked together. Tell about a time you felt frightened of something. Have you ever heard about an animal helping a person? The word matches I did out loud and gave the kids a few choices to pick from. They did very well with it.
