In 1972 I read Matthew 24:34 "Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled" and thought that Jesus was telling His disciples that His return was going to happen in the 1st century. I dismissed the thought because all the churches taught otherwise- it's even in their Creeds. But in 1998 I read 'Last Days Madness' by Gary Demar and my thinking on the 2nd Coming and the message of the New Testament has never been the same from that time forward
