An online diary of one Jew's journey towards mitzvah observance. Monday, March 27, 2006. Tagged me with the following blog meme:. The rules: Go to your music player of choice and put it on shuffle. Say the following questions aloud, and press play. Use the song title as the answer to the question. 1 How does the world see you? Blue in Green by Miles Davis? Who the heck knows how others see you? 2 Will I have a happy life? Ring of Fire by Johnny Cash. 3 What do my friends really think of me? Whew That was...

Ba'alat Teshuva: A Thought on Blogs
http://baalteshuva18.blogspot.com/2006/05/thought-on-blogs.html
An online diary of one Jew's journey towards mitzvah observance. Thursday, May 04, 2006. A Thought on Blogs. Is it self absorbed to think that others would want to read my journal entries? Is it weird to want. Others to read my journal? Is it voyeristic to read other people's personal blogs? Why do I want to put private parts of my life out on the internet for everyone to read and yet not tell my readers who I am? Posted by Ba'alat Teshuva @ 11:03 PM. Links to this post. And if you're not bored by my cra...

An online diary of one Jew's journey towards mitzvah observance. Monday, February 27, 2006. Is it bad that I just put my crystal Shabbos candles in the dishwasher? Don't ever eat Maneshevitz Pareve Matzo Ball Soup. I should have known better than to even try a reconstituted soup. Mazto ball soup is really good on rainy days (yeah, I know, I just gave away my location. Posted by Ba'alat Teshuva @ 7:51 PM. Links to this post. Thursday, February 23, 2006. Ba'alat Teshuva: June 2006
http://baalteshuva18.blogspot.com/2006_06_01_archive.html
An online diary of one Jew's journey towards mitzvah observance. Thursday, June 01, 2006. This is a heads up that the blog will be on hiatus until after I finish taking the bar and return from my post-bar vacation in mid-August. I just can't study for the bar and be a good wife and write stuff for my blog. Have a happy Shavuot! I forgot to count the omer last night, so I guess I made it to 47 days. Not too bad for a first timer. I hope. :-). Posted by Ba'alat Teshuva @ 12:34 AM. Links to this post.

Ba'alat Teshuva: The Committed Marriage
http://baalteshuva18.blogspot.com/2006/05/committed-marriage.html
An online diary of one Jew's journey towards mitzvah observance. Thursday, May 04, 2006. I'm reading Rebbetzin Esther Jungreis's book The Committed Marriage. Anyway, I digress. I highly recommend the book if for no other reason than that the sureness Rebbetzin Jungreis has that the Torah way is the right way is inspiring and reassuring. Posted by Ba'alat Teshuva @ 10:30 PM. An online diary of one Jew's journey towards mitzvah observance. Monday, May 08, 2006. In Defense of Stage Direction-Free Prayer. I came across an interesting post at Jewschool. Which sort of dovetails with my post about my cousin's Bar Mitzvah. Jews are leaving liberal Judaism because they are tired of being preached at. Posted by Ba'alat Teshuva @ 11:45 PM. Ba'alat Teshuva: April 2006
http://baalteshuva18.blogspot.com/2006_04_01_archive.html
An online diary of one Jew's journey towards mitzvah observance. Saturday, April 29, 2006. Thought(s) on My Cousin's Bar Mitzvah. It was the most meaningless Shabbat service I have ever attended. And I think it was meaningless for all who attended, not just those of us that usually daven at Orthodox shuls (which, as far as I know, included me, my husband and my uncle). I am totally convinced that Reform Judaism (at least the variety practiced at my family's "temple") is just a social club for people who ...
