My World In Pictures: 25 July 2010 The Journey Home
http://davesnaps.blogspot.com/2010/09/25-july-2010-journey-home-stopping-at.html
Monday, September 13, 2010. 25 July 2010 The Journey Home. Stopping at the Reading Pagoda is always an anticipated visit. For me, it's a place to climb around and play. For Ali, the memories go back to her youth. This was a regular stop for hill climb racing. Her dad raced at many of the local hill climbs. It must have been quite a treat to be a child with this for a play area at race time. We were both happy to stop by for a visit. Our last stop on the way home was for a visit to Meyer's. Over 50 ,000.

Monday, August 03, 2015. 24 April 2014 Cruising to Sarasota. Our goal today was to enjoy the sights and the caches between Estero and Sarasota. We were headed to Sarasota to visit with Ali's aunt. We had all day to wander. Our first stop was Koreshan State Park. We were hoping for an early gator spotting, but were happy with any new sights in the park. On our way back to parking we spotted a gopher tortoise. Cow ibis were an interesting site as we drove the roads. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

My World In Pictures: 15 February 2013 Big Muskie
http://davesnaps.blogspot.com/2013/05/15-february-2013-big-muskie.html
Friday, May 03, 2013. 15 February 2013 Big Muskie. The image below is in the kiosk at the park. Wow, it was huge. The countryside in this area was forever altered by coal mining. This machine was a big part of that history. The steps leading into the scoop give a great idea of the size. The overlook beyond Big Muskie shows the land where the big scoop roamed. The area has been forever altered by Big Muskie. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). 20 August 2011 Watkins Glen. Over 50 ,000. 20 April 2016 Iller...

Thursday, July 23, 2015. 17 April 2015 Going Home (Briefly). I had a few days before travel took over again. I was happy at the thought of going home, but exhausted from the week's drive which included Evansville. The weather was super and we were looking for cache finds in Auglaize County. A chance to visit and walk a place called Dr Elizabeth Yahl Kuffner Nature Preserve. Sealed the deal for the homeward caching. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). 20 August 2011 Watkins Glen. http://davesnaps.blogspot.com/2015_08_01_archive.html
Sunday, August 30, 2015. 15 May 2015 Flowers and Covered Bridges. We were headed to New York for the weekend. Before leaving Northeast Ohio, we made a detour to South Chagrin to walk the trail and enjoy the wild hyacinths. It's late for many of the spring wildflowers, but we spotted and enjoyed stary false solomon's seal along the trail. We made a few geocaching stops in Ashtabula including visits to a couple great covered bridges in the county of covered bridges. Tuesday, August 25, 2015. In spring ther...

Wednesday, July 22, 2015. 16 April 2015 Fowler Park. I had a late start on my return trip from Evansville to Fort Wayne. I was also losing an hour with a time change. I was hoping for a new county for geocaching and a nice place to walk and exercise. Fowler Park in Vigo County was a very happy surprise. There were wooded trails with elevation changes and spring wildflowers. The visit was topped off with a couple nice cache finds. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). 20 August 2011 Watkins Glen. Monday, July 27, 2015. 19 April 2015 Return to Cotton Wood Hollow. We returned to Cotton Wood Hollow this afternoon to avenge an earlier geocaching DNF and to hopefully spot the spring wildflowers which were still tucked under snow on our last visit. The wildflowers delivered with a good variety and we were able to spot the cache which we missed on our last visit. Saturday, July 25, 2015. 18 April 2015 Peepers. My World In Pictures: Gwen... 2002-2014
http://davesnaps.blogspot.com/2014/11/gwen-2002-2014.html
Tuesday, November 25, 2014. We never really thought about bringing home an aussie. Gwen came to us from a friend who raised show aussies. She was a "companion" dog meaning there was some reason she couldn't be shown. To us she was a champion in our hearts from day one. Despite being my "baby", Gwen spent thirty percent of her life with us with Ali while I was on the road. Since she was a gentle walk in the woods, she was often the dog Ali walked when we were on the trail. Gwen and Toli on the Trail.

My World In Pictures: 11 April 2015 State Game Lands 167
http://davesnaps.blogspot.com/2015/07/11-april-2015-state-game-lands-167.html
Wednesday, July 08, 2015. 11 April 2015 State Game Lands 167. We enjoyed a spring walk with no snow and early spring wildflowers. We also enjoyed a fun series of puzzle caches on our walk. There will be fewer and fewer people in very short time who will understand the significance of this sign. Cell communications have begun to minimize the perceived value of land lines, but this was an interesting landmark of technical innovation. It was an unexpected find on a walk in the woods. Over 50 ,000. It was a ...
