I wish I could send a paper Christmas card to everyone I know, but sadly, resources are finite. In lieu of that, Im celebrating the second day of this joyous season by posting our Christmas greetings here. This is the picture (courtesy of a dear life-long friend) that I put on our card this year, and the text of the letter I sent. Linus is on the right). During F...

Has been showing me pictures and posts from past years, and sometimes I get a pang of panicky regret that Im not recording these days the way I recorded many of the ones when Blaise and especially Camilla were little. Cultural Enigma: April 2010
http://culturalenigma.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
April 27, 2010. Certainly many of you have heard that the infamous Shroud of Turin will be on display for just over a month in Torino this year. The last time it was made available to the public to view was in 2000 with the next scheduled viewing in 2025. To my great joy, the Archbishop in Torino made a request of Pope Benedict XVI to move the date up and he agreed. So, lo and behold, the one year of my life that I happen. I leave for Torino on Sunday, May 2nd (the day the Pope will be viewing the shroud!

Why Kids Are Great. Kid-isms and Parental Observations: A rough synopsis of how we roll. Tuesday, October 1, 2013. Well that was fun. I got a lot of positive feedback from the last post. I might do some more stuff like that in the future(but probably not just about me) It was fun to write about something other than the kids and parenting for a minute. I'm open to more suggestions! Happy boy's 2nd grade picture. We made it 2 weeks into school without a sick kid. That has to be a record! Its a dirt hotel f...

Why Kids Are Great. Kid-isms and Parental Observations: A rough synopsis of how we roll. Wednesday, April 24, 2013. Sometimes this is hard. Parenting isn't always easy. Here's what I mean. For 6 years I had a mostly well behaved sweet caring boy that occasionally needed redirection or maybe a little discipline to keep him in line. He still is a smart, sensitive loving boy that lives for hugs and kisses and cuddles. That hasn't changed. What HAS changed is his serious lack of impulse control. She is upset...

Living the Awesome Life. Friday, January 18, 2013. The Perspective of a 3 Year Old. I was having a conversation with Cecilia today and it eventually came around to Uncle Scott, Aunt Mary, and Baby Gloria- Cecilia LOVES to remind me that Uncle Scott is HER Godfather. Ummmit's a really long trip so we won't be able to go during Cyril's nap. Maybe we. We have a lot of money! I tel...

June 15, 2011. The Will of the Father. This whole week, the second reading for the Office of Readings is from a treatise on the Lord's Prayer by St. Cyprian. It is beautiful. In today's reading, he reflects on what it means to do the will of the Father:. Humility. Whole-hearted love. Clinging to HIS love. Let us pursue the will of the Father with St. Cyprian as our guide and intercessor. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. The Will of the Father. Kresta In The Afternoon.

Subscribe to this blog's feed. Friday, July 01, 2016. We've got a whole hand now. Do I even need it or want it any more? Ugh, sorry, I know this type of hideously self-indulgent navel-gazing helps no one. It’s just hard to get started without it, after almost a year of silence. Anyway, I’m back because this blog contains stories of all my children, or did until now, and I can’t let it go without the story of the newest one. 0160;the sun rose.). Anyway, where was I?
