Saturday, January 30, 2016. 365 Block of the Day Challenge-January's blocks and DIY spool thread keeper. Those of us taking up the 365 Block of the Day Challenge are celebrating that we made it through the first month. Thirty one 3 1/2" blocks made. Then we realized that these blocks are enough to make one side of an inside border. There are 112 blocks in the first dark border. We have a ways to go with only 31 made so far. tarathesmall: November 2015
http://tarathesmall.blogspot.com/2015_11_01_archive.html
Tuesday, November 3, 2015. DH decided I need a Singers Featherweight machine to take to volunteer sewing and classes. Because my favourite quilt shop has a limited amount of electrical plugs, he also purchased a hand crank for the machine. Now to find an old stroller with springs or pneumatic tires to safely get the machine to classes without damage. And here's the hand crank. It folds up so the machine can go into it's case easily. Sunday, November 1, 2015. Convertable shoulder bag/back pack is finished!

tarathesmall: Dot to Dot quilting, Ruler Work and dollar store craft
http://tarathesmall.blogspot.com/2016/08/dot-to-dot-quilting-ruler-work-and.html
Tuesday, August 9, 2016. Dot to Dot quilting, Ruler Work and dollar store craft. The large centre block in this quilt was my first attempt at "real" ruler work. Every time I tried to practice ruler work, either the thread broke, didn't make a stitch, or the foot would fall off in the middle of the seam. I finally watched a video for installing a ruler foot from a different company. They add a washer between the screw that holds the foot in place and the foot. Why not give that a try? Turn them into souve...

My Baby Jane Journal. Wednesday, March 31, 2010. Second Block for the SCC's Group RR. Getting these Blocks finished to be able to pass them onto the next person ON TIME is getting a bit hard. But I have managed to get my second set in the the mail before the end of the month, LOL! I have ended up with a heavier effect of stitching and SRE. I also used the Edmar Bouclé thread on the wavey line in a whipped chain, with a great effect. Labels: My Round Robins. Celtic Round Robbin 2010. Twice on it. In t...

My Baby Jane Journal. Thursday, June 10, 2010. My Fourth Block for the SSC RR. This block belongs to Maureen T. I love the colour tones in this one, and I'm very pleased with the finished. Block I have used a few ideas from the Carole Samples Book "A Treasury of Crazy Quilt Stitches". Close-up of some of the seam detail, on the right. I hope Maureen likes what I have done for her.
