Monday, October 12, 2009. BV and Olympic Village. On Monday we finally got the chance to see our first Olympic event besides cycling. We headed out to the east side of Beijing and got to see some beach volleyball. We saw two matches. The first was a men’s match between Australia and Angola. The second was a women’s match between China and Belgium. The supervisors of our program got the tickets for us. They said that they were able to round them up from some children! Monday, October 12, 2009. Tonight, a few of us went out to dinner in a “hutong”, or an alley with shops and restaurants, right near our campus. We had one of the best meals we’ve had since we’ve been here all for just about $3 a piece. Food is so incredibly cheap here.
