Larry Baker's Railroad Models: August 2010

http://railroadmodels.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html

Larry Baker's Railroad Models. Saturday, August 28, 2010. I put in some retaining walls on the trestle and started to rough in some scenery. The emphasis is on rough. I will be refining it in the future. Right now I am just searching for what looks right and so far this isn't it. I hope to have more progress to report in the future. Links to this post. Friday, August 20, 2010. Here is an overall shot of the area showing the main line below the log-loading area. This line will pass through a tunnel an...

Larry Baker's Railroad Models: July 2010

http://railroadmodels.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html

Larry Baker's Railroad Models. Friday, July 30, 2010. More About Grades and Track Placement. I cut some plywood to cover the part above the bench work. It is being cut to reflect the different elevation of the land but most of it will be covered with scenery and should not be considered ground level. I have also added a filler piece to the corner which I will shape later. I wanted a little more separation between the tracks. Also the scenery will look better without the square corner.
