Beaches, Bamboo, and Tea – The Rambling Family

http://www.ramblingfamily.com/2015/06/beaches-bamboo-and-tea.html

Where to go in Korea. Beaches, Bamboo, and Tea. After the packers wrapped up all our junk, stuffed it into crates, and drove off with it, we grabbed our camping bag out of the ‘no pack’ zone and headed out for a final week of Korea road trip. My goal: the southwest. Being the weekend meant Bryan joined us, too! We drove south on I-15 to the town of Kunsan and drove across the largest seawall in the world at 33km it felt pretty long! But, we stayed on our awesome spot. Collecting shells and seaglass.

España – The Rambling Family

Where to go in Korea. We made it. This move has been one of the smoothest ever in our military experience. It’s really incredible; either our perspective has changed or things are simply sunny this go around. Walking to the bus. As the bus pulled out of the base we saw another friend as well! Steve was on his way into base to do a shift at the animal shelter. Avi recognized the car and we frantically waved. Steve saw us and waved back! Making our mirrors at the airport. Everyone needed their own cart.

The beach – The Rambling Family

http://www.ramblingfamily.com/2015/08/the-beach.html

Where to go in Korea. Fishy Fishy restaurant in Moraira. Chalk, I hope? Zoe at Moraira beach. The edges of the beach. The castle we worked on. Avi out for some boogie boarding. Its nice having a waterproof cam. Trying to skim board. The cool obstacle course. Zoe passing a teen and myself just before we both wiped out. At the top (finally). yes the camera has a dust speck on the lense. ugh. Bethany and the cliffs. The pebble beach meant no sand up crevaces. Um, he wanted to pose for this one.

Concerts and Field Trips – The Rambling Family

http://www.ramblingfamily.com/2015/06/concerts-and-field-trips.html

Where to go in Korea. Concerts and Field Trips. Zoe has been having a great end of school year joining the rest of her class at the spring concert, a field trip to the science museum, and field day! Her concert was nice. The second grades sang Rose Rose, Kookaburra, and Come and Let us Play and Sing. She seemed in her element on stage enjoying an audience. Um, selfie with garfield. She took lots of pictures out the bus, “to remember Korea”. Her teacher and another friend! June 5, 2015. KIDS – Avi. Post w...

Across the Pond: July 2013

http://laurenacrossthepond.blogspot.com/2013_07_01_archive.html

I started this blog when I lived 'Across the Pond' as a military wife in South Korea. We've moved three times since then and are now stationed at Edwards AFB in the Mojave Desert. Sunday, July 28, 2013. In an Honest Attempt. To blog more regularly. We went to the outlet mall to do some school shopping and last minute cruise shopping. Have I mentioned that the whole Naddy crew is going on a cruise in a week? But none of it sounds too bad when I remember that we will be on a boat in 1 week. You know, if yo...

Across the Pond: Grand Canyon for Thanksgiving

http://laurenacrossthepond.blogspot.com/2014/12/grand-canyon-for-thanksgiving.html

I started this blog when I lived 'Across the Pond' as a military wife in South Korea. We've moved three times since then and are now stationed at Edwards AFB in the Mojave Desert. Tuesday, December 2, 2014. Grand Canyon for Thanksgiving. We were lucky enough to take a quick trip to the Grand Canyon over Thanksgiving break! We finally make it up to Vegas and we get stuck in the 'Arrivals' lane of the airport. The lane is a mile long and not. Moving. We try to get a hold of my parents and tell them to ...

Ewey's Random Rambles | 北京之旅

Ewey's Random Rambles. The end of an era… *dramatic face*. Post dated entry… Drafted this while back, didn’t post it). I first joined the Mars team in March 2013. That was after a superbly frustrating 11 months or so working on the other team. Will not elaborate more on the pains of working in China since I’m about done soon. Actually, planning teams in China can be quite the force to be reckon with. The Mars planning team is not a big team but at the peak, we probably had a staff strength of 20ish.

RAMBLING EXCURSIONS | Birds, Wildlife, Walks , Bike Rides, Life, holidays, places, journeys, news, sport, environment, music

Birds, Wildlife, Walks , Bike Rides, Life, holidays, places, journeys, news, sport, environment, music. INTERESTING BITS AND BOBS. Adel Woods north leeds. Have had some lovely dog walks at Adel woods. Been going here for years with all my dogs. Lots of people do the same but it never seems crowded. Its a mixed woodland with a small moorland. From the moor you can catch sight of the old Adel Reformatory. The sun shining through the leaves make dappled patterns on the soft forest floor. The Yorkshire Dales Nation...

Ramblings of a New Exec

Ramblings of a New Exec. Tuesday, 6 January 2015. Over the last couple of years I've thought a lot about the difference between a Manager and a Leader. I've also had to learn in which camp I reside. Throughout history there have always been leaders and managers. And that doesn't change in today's workplace (obviously) but it's important to understand what you are and also which one you're working for. I'm not saying one is better than the other, in fact, I think organisations need both to be successful.

The Rambling Family

Kid A turned five recently and though we had his party a couple months ago with friends before departing Korea, we still had a bit of a celebration. We even put up some fun sparkly streamers from our new favorite store: Hiper Zn. A chinese import place that puts Walmart cheapness to shame. We spent another two hours waiting before my number came up, but luckily there was still space in my first choice class time. So, he is signed up for the whole year. The kids earned ice cream for that log wait. With ou...

Ramblings of a Homeschooling Family Manager

Ramblings of a Homeschooling Family Manager. Tuesday, July 7, 2015. Chicken Soup with Rice. I've been sniffling and sneezing all day so I decided to make a pot of chicken soup. Since DH is vegetarian I also made a pot of carroty rice to go with it, then I put the two together in my bowl to make chicken soup with rice. This is the second or third time I've tried to make the soup and rice like this, and this time I nailed it! Here's what I did:. Chicken Soup with Carroty Rice. Vegetable Bouillon Cube, large.

Ramblings of a Football Fan

Ramblings of a Football Fan. Tuesday, 19 August 2014. Football is a shared experience, and yet the feelings it creates are deeply personal. Sometimes these feelings can be explained with facts and stats; at other times they seem irrational. Arguments can be had over statistics, and whether they accurately portray what you believe to be true, but you can't argue about how an individual feels deep inside. I tried to accept change, I tried to rekindle the passion which I once felt. I failed. I'm still a Cha...
