Random Thoughts

Sunday, March 24, 2013. My wife and I went out to lunch today at the local Bakers Square. We're both pretty big fans of the place, and not just because of the pie. Ok, the pie is a major selling point, but seriously it's not JUST because of the pie. The food is pretty solid too. While sitting in our booth, we were witnesses to a woman in her (guessing here) 50's who was out to lunch with her (assuming) husband. The issue was the woman's pants. The funny part to me was when they got up to leave, they walk...

Random Thoughts: Hello Stranger

http://www.randomthoughtsfromjim79.blogspot.com/2013/03/hello-stranger.html

Thursday, March 14, 2013. I know I know. I haven't written in.yikes, over a year? I forgot how much I enjoyed writing this blog of nothing (I love Seinfeld) and I've decided to come back to it. I don't know how often I'll be writing, or what I'll be writing about, but I'm pretty sure I won't be taking a year off in between posts anymore. That being said, here are some random thoughts. Anytime the Shamrock Shake is back I'm in a better mood. Fact. Also, during my blogger hiatus we started watching Homelan...

Random Thoughts: July 2011

http://www.randomthoughtsfromjim79.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html

Friday, July 29, 2011. My dear friend JT (He's the one walking up the stairs at the start of the clip). Http:/ www.youtube.com/watch? Not a WTF Friday. I have today off. This makes me happy. So I apologize for the lack of an WTF Friday post today, I'm sure next week I'll be able to make up for it. Today is a day for me to watch more episodes of Season 7 of Entourage (awesome) and to do some minor tasks around the house. Also, it gives me time to destroy the CPU on NCAA 12 which is always fun. These lanya...

Random Thoughts: The Holidays........from a retail perspective

http://www.randomthoughtsfromjim79.blogspot.com/2011/12/holidaysfrom-retail-perspective.html

Tuesday, December 6, 2011. The Holidays.from a retail perspective. So, the holidays are upon us. That's fantastic.unless you work in retail. I currently work in a pharmacy.but I've been in worse situations. Several years ago I worked for a company that you'd all know, their logo is a giant yellow price tag. That was by far the worst work experience of my life. And not just because of Black Friday. I worked in the "media" department" meaning I was in the section with the CD's, DVD's and videogames. The Ho...

Random Thoughts: Ahh, Mondays

http://www.randomthoughtsfromjim79.blogspot.com/2011/11/ahh-mondays.html

Monday, November 7, 2011. Mondays at work are always fun. There's always the customer (or 7) that calls 10-12 times about the rx that they've been trying to refill since Saturday ("What do you mean, if the Dr. has office hours on the weekend? There's always the customer that's upset about our hours on weekends, ("I thought you guys were open until 9 on weekends too! There's always an awful crush of people coming in from 3:30-6. Always. Random Thoughts: August 2011

http://www.randomthoughtsfromjim79.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html

Thursday, August 4, 2011. Why I'm rooting for Tiger Woods. I realize that after reading the title of this blog entry most people won't read any further and that's ok, I understand. But it won't change how I feel about this subject. I don't condone anything Tiger Woods did in his personal life. Never have, never will. It's pretty awful what he did to his now ex-wife and their children and the barrage of criticism he's gotten since that November night in 2009 has been well deserved. Tiger is now a villain ...

Random Thoughts From Elaine

Random Thoughts From Elaine. Tuesday, August 11, 2015. It's official. I am a trendsetter and in the most unexpected way. Background: I bring my lunch to work a lot because my mom leaves me food when she walks my dogs (Thanks mom! Anyway, a few weeks back, I walk into the break room to put my lunch away and what do I notice in the fridge? Two lululemon lunch bags! It's a good thing I changed my bag because then I'd have to go looking through other people's lunches to identify mine! Monday, August 10, 2015.

Random Thoughts from Melodie

Wednesday, July 20, 2011. I really don't like it when names of things are changed. I'm a firm believe in the old saying, "If it's not broke, don't fix it.". I passed a sign today advertising for a funeral home and prepaying for funeral expenses. Instead of calling it a funeral, they called it a "Remembrance Ceremony". Why not just call it what it is? Like calling used cars "pre-owned". I guess I just don't like to sugar coat things or put "spins" on them. I want things straight forward. Links to this post.

Random Thoughts From Me To You

Tuesday, October 11, 2011. Just a little sample of one of my recent writing submissions. I tentatively turned the key in the lock, half expecting to hear the scrape of the came across the floor as dad shuffled his way to answer my knock. But of course I hadn't knocked, since I knew dad would not be meeting me this time. Or next. Or ever again. As I walked around the empty rooms the reminders of him filled my senses and my mind. The Guidepost. Yogurt before cookies" on the refrigerator. Sported one of tho...

Random Thoughts Of A Mom Of Two

Random Thoughts Of A Mom Of Two. A peek inside the brain of a wife and mom of two happy healthy boys. Sunday, June 17, 2012. If it wasn't for my dear husband, today would be just another day to me. Although I suppose the day belongs to my mother as well, as she was the one who raised me. I have often wondered what it would have been like if I had a father in my life growing up. Would I have been so desperate for a male to love me? Would I have gotten pregnant at 15? Would he even allowed me to date?
