Friday, April 11, 2014. Ashley and Soren visited from Boston! Soren and Isla are only a month apart, and it was very cute to see Soren interacting with his cousins. We were unable to do any sightseeing until the very last day Ashley was here, which turned out to be a surprisingly freezing day! Friday, January 16, 2015. December 2014: Trip to VA. My parents considered coming to San Antonio for Christmas, but instead they generously offered to help us fly out to Virginia so we could all be together. Rick had to work every day between Christmas and New Years anyway, so the kids and I took off for Virginia early Christmas morning. Very excited to fly and visit Pappy and Grandmama! Tuesday, August 11, 2015. June began with the end of the school year. Faye had joined the YMCA's preschool in January and had a great six months with Miss Melissa and Miss Lora. They run an amazing group there! Faye loved to report to me who got "on red" (aka in trouble) each day and which girls wanted to marry which boys in her class. Her handwriting also improved a lot! Monday, December 29, 2014. November began with a good-bye: Pappy left after his week-long visit. Windy Faye on Veteran's Day. Sunday, April 26, 2015. Sunday afternoon ice cream making. This sweet girl is two-and-a-half! My sister Ashley and Soren came to visit! They spent a couple of days in Austin with The Hales, and we took a day trip to Austin to then bring her down to San Antonio. We visited the Nature and Science Center. Tuesday, December 8, 2009. For two days we have watched the snow fall tirelessly here in Utah. Madelyn enjoyed watching it come down and she kept reaching for the falling snowflakes. So, this afternoon it finally stopped snowing and the sun started peeking through the clouds, and Madelyn and I decided to brave the elements and play in the snow! It took us about 20 minutes to get her all dressed up for the snow! She just didn't know what to think of the many layers of clothing we were putting on her!

Saturday, August 15, 2015. We started our Fourth of July celebrations with the church's pancake breakfast. Then Ali led the kids in making some cute patriotic crafts while we prepped food. We swam and ate and played with water balloons that Jeanel had brought! Faye's cousins would often find little toads, and she adopted one to keep as a pet. This was her reaction when she found out that "Coca" had died. We ran out of time to make homemade ice cream on the fourth but did it the following Sunday instead.

Monday, November 23, 2009. This past month has been filled with birthdays! Madelyn and I celebrated another year! Here's a little update on Madelyn:. She weighs 17.5 lbs. She won't be into a forward facing carseat for a while! She took her first few steps at the beginning of October and she's been getting better and better since. She's basically stopped crawling altogether. She's especially cute when she tries to go quickly! She hasn't figured out running yet! She knows she's so cute when she does it.
