G650GS: There and Back Again: May 2014
http://g650gs.blogspot.com/2014_05_01_archive.html
G650GS: There and Back Again. Monday, May 5, 2014. Dusted off the Spider Webs! Today, I rode to work. :-). That could be my entire blog post right there. It's been so long, that alone feels like monumental news. We will continue to take those rides and add some miles to our bikes but, the total number of miles will not be what we reflect on in the end. It's the number of smiles, the amount of laughter, and the memories that we will cherish the most. Sunday, May 4, 2014. Well, not really. Bad news. :-).

G650GS: There and Back Again: February 2014
http://g650gs.blogspot.com/2014_02_01_archive.html
G650GS: There and Back Again. Monday, February 24, 2014. Has it really been that long since I last blogged? No excuse really other than, I haven't been riding so there's not much to blog about. And, this blog post isn't even about riding. It is to say that I have a fabulous new job! Today was my very first day as the Head Librarian (and Archivist) at the Denver Botanic Gardens. I think I love it already! Cheers to new beginnings (and stable job funding)! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Highway pegs - CHECK.

Musings of an Intrepid Commuter: Comfort Zone Cages
http://intrepidcommuter.blogspot.com/2013/11/comfort-zone-cages.html
Musings of an Intrepid Commuter. Life and Laughs from a Road Warrior by Dan Bateman. Thursday, November 07, 2013. Sometimes comfort zones can be good things and other times they can become cages. In the course of writing this blog I've tried to be honest about my own humanity. In that vein I have to admit that I've felt that feeling of not wanting to let go. Here's an example. I'm in a small upstairs gym at an athletic club. One question is repeatedly bouncing around inside my head. Katie was looking me ...

Musings of an Intrepid Commuter: February 2013
http://intrepidcommuter.blogspot.com/2013_02_01_archive.html
Musings of an Intrepid Commuter. Life and Laughs from a Road Warrior by Dan Bateman. Wednesday, February 27, 2013. Thank you to Andy Goldfine. I was slightly premature when I said I was finally going to have a little more time. Once more I dove headfirst into rewriting a training program for our instructors. These things tend to be a little consuming! Last weekend was the proof in the pudding for this project and I'm pleased to say it's both successful and behind me! Somewhere around a year and a half ag...

Musings of an Intrepid Commuter: November 2011
http://intrepidcommuter.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html
Musings of an Intrepid Commuter. Life and Laughs from a Road Warrior by Dan Bateman. Monday, November 21, 2011. Cocky with a camera. The day dawned with the reluctance of a hung-over person getting ready for work. No sick days left. The Boss won't buy calling in dead. So it's going to happen. It has to happen. The process will be long and drawn out. Without grace or warmth but with an inevitability that comes from years of routine. Rise and shine? Rising, certainly, but shining? Not so you'd notice.

Musings of an Intrepid Commuter: December 2011
http://intrepidcommuter.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.html
Musings of an Intrepid Commuter. Life and Laughs from a Road Warrior by Dan Bateman. Tuesday, December 06, 2011. How to Lift a Bike. I'm posting this here with the blessing of Pat Hahn, who is the Communications Manager for our training program. That's Pat in the video, by the way. One of the things I've learned in my pursuit of photography is that there is a definite advantage to being the one behind the camera. Especially if there is a big heavy sport touring motorcycle to be lifted. Miles and smiles,.

Musings of an Intrepid Commuter. Life and Laughs from a Road Warrior by Dan Bateman. Tuesday, November 05, 2013. I didn't see her! Telephone pole to police officer: "Honest, Officer, I didn't see her! Hmmm, perhaps a Hi-Viz cat would have helped. Miles and smiles,. Like the hi-viz cat. It makes them easier to spot. Irondad, Oregon must be a weirder state than I previously thought.your telephone poles move around freely? Nice touch with the High-vis cat. I need to get a hi- viz cat. Keith - Circle Blue.

Musings of an Intrepid Commuter: October 2012
http://intrepidcommuter.blogspot.com/2012_10_01_archive.html
Musings of an Intrepid Commuter. Life and Laughs from a Road Warrior by Dan Bateman. Wednesday, October 17, 2012. Hi, it's been a while, I know. I'm having severe withdrawals from blogging. On the other hand, I've been experiencing a fantastic ride the past few months. I solemnly promise to share what's been going on soon. I also miss reading everybody else's blogs. To quote some guy with a corncob pipe, "I shall return". In the meantime I want to ask a favor. Input would be most appreciated. Monday June...
