Nuremberg Trails: Tag Vier: Please Don't Take My Sunshine Away
http://nurembergtrails.blogspot.com/2010/07/tag-vier-please-dont-take-my-sunshine.html
Wednesday, July 28, 2010. Tag Vier: Please Don't Take My Sunshine Away. I'm making two posts back-to-back because this is a tremendous pain in the ass. Another day full of rain and gloominess - thanks, Nuremberg ( Thuremberg. Again I didn't really have a goal in mind other than making it to the Reichsparteitagsgelände. A pretty neat fountain. The below picture is a pretty poor panoramic stitching (you can clearly see where the overlap is - yeah, I fucked it up). Sorry, I dare not use the flash. More on t...

Nuremberg Trails: August 2010
http://nurembergtrails.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html
Thursday, August 5, 2010. Tag Zwölf: Die Ende. The trip is winding down and today is the last day. For some reason Swiss Air won't let me check in for the second leg of my flight so I better not be sitting next to some fat smelly Swiss fucker. There really wasn't much on the itinerary for the day. Just last-minute shopping and fotos. Yeah, and it rained again. To which I say. FUCK YOU, NUREMBERG. Anyway, here are some fotos. No idea what this building is. Might this be the last döner I'll ever eat? Yes, ...

Nuremberg Trails: Tag Zehn: There Ain't No Partei Like a Reichspartei
http://nurembergtrails.blogspot.com/2010/08/tag-zehn-there-aint-no-partei-like.html
Thursday, August 5, 2010. Tag Zehn: There Ain't No Partei Like a Reichspartei. The weather reports were taunting me. They alleged the day would be sunny. I did not believe it because of the entire time I've been here I've seen the sun shine for maybe 5 minutes max. But I figured I should try anyway. Today I would once again endeavor to visit the Reichsparteitagsgelände on a good day for fotos. This is the "shower." Notice that you can't actually stand up in it. Random shot down the main drag. After a lit...

Nuremberg Trails: Tag Sieben: What is Pigeon?
http://nurembergtrails.blogspot.com/2010/08/tag-sieben-what-is-pigeon.html
Monday, August 2, 2010. Tag Sieben: What is Pigeon? After the destruction of several hundred thousand brain cells the morning snuck up and said we had to go to Frankenwinheim. Population roughly 1000 . although it does have its own Wiki page. Another train ride out, and then Wolfgang picked us up at the bahnhof. A short drive later and we were at the home of the Mad Prof's relatives, Otto und Lydia. Due to extreme unsightliness the family will not be pictured here. You think I'm kidding. The door to Wolf...

Nuremberg Trails: Tag Elf: Bob Sanders Day
http://nurembergtrails.blogspot.com/2010/08/tag-elf-bob-sanders-day.html
Thursday, August 5, 2010. Tag Elf: Bob Sanders Day. The plan today was to take a train down to Regensburg, but when I woke up I just wasn't feeling it. The kind of overarching theme of this thing is that sightseeing is extremely low on the priority list, so it didn't have a lot of appeal for me. So was on my mind on my birthday? I headed out and took a look over the city from the Kaiserburg. This is what the weather looked like on my birthday:. 4 8 15 16 23 42. The most unglaublich thing happened on the ...

Nuremberg Trails: Tag Sechs: Bilbo's Eleventyfirst
http://nurembergtrails.blogspot.com/2010/08/tag-sechs-bilbos-eleventyfirst.html
Sunday, August 1, 2010. Tag Sechs: Bilbo's Eleventyfirst. The Mad Professor was kicked out of the archive at 2pm on Friday so we got an early start nach our destination - Annafest. We took the train down to Forchheim and walked up to the wald. I took a few fotos of the walk up, just a quiet little neighborhood. This little street will take you to a wondrous fairy-tale land. An innocent-looking forest path conceals hidden treasures within. Getting cute with Pano. Not a very good foto. 24 Juli 2010 - 6 Aug...

Nuremberg Trails: Tag Acht: A Day No One Saw Coming
http://nurembergtrails.blogspot.com/2010/08/tag-acht-day-no-one-saw-coming.html
Tuesday, August 3, 2010. Tag Acht: A Day No One Saw Coming. It is not to be believed because as of 1 August,. Bavaria has a total smoking ban in place. There were already various state bans but now it's the entire country. So after awaking to a smoke-free. There were A LOT more than these. Then it was time to head out to Bamberg. But not before taking a foto of the cigarette machine attached to the neighbor's house. I hope you read the Wikipedia link above because I don't feel like writing on and on abou...

Nuremberg Trails: July 2010
http://nurembergtrails.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html
Thursday, July 29, 2010. I established one goal and one goal only for today: find and obtain a döner. Upon setting out I saw this gentleman and his family walking down the sidewalk. He was wearing a vest that says "Born in the U.S.A.". Only one person on this sidewalk was actually born in the USA. There was a place I had spied selling döners a couple of days ago and I was pretty sure where it was. But the more I looked for it, the more I felt like I was in the middle of Labyrinth. O döner, my döner!
