Project Eagle RV: July 2010
http://project-eagle-rv.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html
Welcome to Project Eagle RV blog. Sunday, 4 July 2010. Exhaust Manifold Heat Shield. Have made up a heat shield for the exhaust manifold from a 3mm thick alloy plate. The first job was to make up a template from cardboard and then transfer it on to the alloy plate to be cut out. To cut the shape out of the plate I used a Plasma Cutter, this give a clean cut with only a bit of filing to do to finish off the edges. Support bracket from the engine block to the heat shield. Project Eagle RV: Exhaust Manifold
http://project-eagle-rv.blogspot.com/2010/02/exhaust-manifold.html
Welcome to Project Eagle RV blog. Saturday, 20 February 2010. The standard Pinto exhaust manifold is going back on the engine as there is no need for a performances system to be fitted. The manifold had two broken bolts in it where the heat shield fits. So the first job to do was to drill them both out on the pillar drill and re tap them with an M6 tap so they can be used again. The manifold bolted on to the head along with the front lifting eye. Posted by Chris n. Chris N Robin Hood S7 Blog.

In the last few weeks Ian has been busy on the Eagle RV, with removing the front grill panel assembly, radiator, prop shaft and the 4-speed gearbox. The engine ready to be removed from the RV. First job today was to take the head off the engine, not only to help with the weight of the engine being lifted out but also to see what had gone wrong with it. Posted by Chris n.
