Rob's Gardner Douglas Cobra : Lazy build day but what a buzz

http://robscobra.blogspot.com/2013/12/lazy-build-day-but-what-buzz.html

Rob's Gardner Douglas Cobra. Welcome to the build of my Gardner Douglas 427. Hopefully the build will go better than my blog attempt, this will take some tweaking :). Monday, 9 December 2013. Lazy build day but what a buzz. That said and done, the magic moment arrived and with baited breath the Cobra was fired up, clutch in and select gear,. With a knot in the tummy the clutch was let out slowly and forward momentum was achieved, with each rotation the cheesy grin got bigger and bigger. My first Track Day.

Andy's GD427 Build.: Return Fuel line

http://andysgd427.blogspot.com/2010/08/return-fuel-line.html

Welcome to my attempt at documenting the build my Gardner Douglas 427. I cannot promise this will always be the latest information , but when things are slack in the garage Ill post up what I can. Wednesday, 28 July 2010. You can see from the previous post that it was roughly routed in when the prop went in, now its time to fix it. To mount the hose I used clips, longer bolts and some section of 8mm tube. Job done. Oh and Ive fitted the hard line adapter as well, so much easier with the right one!

Welcome to my attempt at documenting the build my Gardner Douglas 427. I cannot promise this will always be the latest information , but when things are slack in the garage Ill post up what I can. Wednesday, 28 July 2010. Somewhat unexpectedly a box was delivered last week containing my propshaft. I thought this was going to be one of the bits to be collected on my planned trip up to GD, more on that later. So with it here it would be rude not to fit it! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Andy's GD427 Build.: Modern or classic?

http://andysgd427.blogspot.com/2013/06/modern-or-classic.html

Welcome to my attempt at documenting the build my Gardner Douglas 427. I cannot promise this will always be the latest information , but when things are slack in the garage Ill post up what I can. Monday, 10 June 2013. One defining decision is do I go modern or stick with the classic look? Here's a fairly classic look GD snapped at Stoneleigh a few years ago. And then to something much more modern, its not a GD and it has side pipes but I kind of like the look of this car. Maybe traditional is best though.

Welcome to my attempt at documenting the build my Gardner Douglas 427. I cannot promise this will always be the latest information , but when things are slack in the garage Ill post up what I can. Monday, 10 June 2013. For a long time the target that I have been aiming for has been unclear. Of course the end goal is a roadworthy GD427 that goes like stink and looks good but within that base aim there are options. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Marlborough, Chippenham and Pewsey. Front axle rear axle.
