This morning I was celebrating that I had a day off with nowhere to go, except to a friend's house to feed her cat. I mused about taking a longer than normal weekend bike ride when Larry laughed and said, "Why don't you combine the two and ride your bike up to feed the cat? My initial response was "Not bloody likely! I hopped on my bike and immediately discovered a flat tire!

Gab and Glass: July 2012
http://sylvanlampworks.blogspot.com/2012_07_01_archive.html
Tuesday, July 3, 2012. Fourth of July, Early 1900s. Joe Herring, Jr., a friend, fellow "history geek" and local columnist wrote about how Kerrville has celebrated the Fourth of July over the years. In last weekend's edition of the Daily Times he wrote, "In 1902, Kerrville enjoyed a grand celebration at the Kerrville Park, which I think was the old West Texas Fairgrounds." He went on to talk about the festivities that day. Looks like a a barbecue! When I read Joe's column this week I couldn't help but won...

Saturday, February 18, 2012. How did I get through the block, you ask? Well I enrolled in an Artist's Way group, it's like a 12-step program for blocked creatives. The group has been a very powerful experience for me both spiritually and creatively and I am so glad I joined up. I had been taking myself way too seriously and it was holding me back. So from here on out I promise to be nicer to myself and embrace the joy of creating instead of chasing perfection. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Chopper ...

Ramblings of a submariner, mostly about guns. I made a pseudo-Dissipator. May 16, 2014. I had a bunch of parts laying around and got a great deal on a 14.5″ barrel, so I made this. I took an A2 birdcage and turned down the diameter of the wrench flat area so that it would fit under the front sight base. This also hid the pin and weld of the flash hider quite nicely. Now I have a snub nosed Dissipator. Enjoy:. This entry was posted in Uncategorized. I made a pseudo-Dissipator. May 19, 2014 at 06:35. You a...
