Friends of Rural Roads. Of Frederick County, Maryland. Public support is critical to preserving the county's remaining gravel roads. Our gravel roads are vulnerable. The Resolution that created the Rural Roads Program can be changed or weakened at any time. Sixty percent of adjoining landowners can petition for removal of a road from the Rural Roads Program, Four roads, or sections of them, have been removed and have been tar and chipped (paved). Friends of Rural Roads. Of Frederick County, Maryland. October 4th-November 27th. “Experience Gravel Roads.Through the Eyes of the Artist” will be on display at the Weinberg Center for the Arts. Opening Reception at the Weinberg Center will be on Thursday, October 4th from 5-7 pm Prizes for the top 3 paintings will be awarded. The public is welcome and the paintings are for sale.
